Hey guys, I've owned a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V for more than two years now. I was thinking about turboing it, but ended up scrapping the idea once I got a 1990 Nissan 240SX for $600. Depending on how f*cked the engine is due to one of the previous owners clogging the head gasket holes with coolant stop leak (at least, that's what it seems like), I may or may not turbo the KA24E. If it's F.U.B.A.R., I'm going for a KA24DE swap, and then maybe an LS1 swap once the project is fully restored.

VH swap? Depending on the cost/benefit ratio I suppose. How much does that swap cost?

I live in Raleigh, NC.

I'm from Winston-Salem. My complete build was around $8000, but if you look, that includes suspension, machine work, and several other miscellaneous purchases not even related to the engine. I think people have done it for less than $3000. Produces over 300hp/tq with no mods. DOHC with valve timing technology that still allows you to get 26-28 mpg when you're not "on it." There's a company in California that is starting to make a line of specialty parts for it including twin turbo headers, etc. I'm starting to make a few parts for it as well here in Orlando, Fl. It's supported by the Nistune platform as well, making fine tuning a breeze. I stand behind the VH45DE; I love it!

Oh wow, I think you guys have single-handedly removed me from the LS1 swap and go with the VH45DE instead. It sounds a lot better.
