lately ive been thinking about buying a y33 but iuno if its just me, but it seems like these cars break down a lot and need a lot of maintenance? or is that just me... would it be worth it to invest in one of these? what are the downsides of owning a q45

Actually from what I hear the 97-01 are the most cost efficient of the Q45's to own. But the engine set up wasn't the best, A knock sensor for each cylinder cmon now. And the coil packs weren't nearly as good as the G50's.

The downside like i somewhat mentioned are the price of mataince and parts are high but you can get them from joe who has OEM parts at the cheapest that I know of http://www.infinitipartsusa.com Do the easy work your self then you will have a great car at a OK price.

If its in good shape go for it.

Economics 101: A depreciating asset is not investment. Also, Y33 were never sold in the US.

Do read the stickies above for starters as each will be a great help.

A fine reliable car that will require $2500-3000 per year to maintain in good working operation, and suck down premium only fuel at 16-19MPG combined suburban/highway use.....if you are prepared to budget this amount of money towards the car, it is a great choice.
