Hello again.

I posted in the general section for my intro and figured I would pop in here and show off the car and the very minor things I have done to it. I picked up the AC on December 30 and have been in love with it ever since. Night time picture quality sucks...

I removed the Altima and 2.5S badge as well as the pin striping. I then dipped the chrome trim on the grill as well as the rear diffuser. I was going to do the rims but decided I want to remove them to do it. The stock rims are a little deep and I want to make sure I get full coverage so it doesn't just look like the front has been dipped.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tee but if we all had the same tastes it would be a pretty boring place.

Thanks,

Erik

Thanks Sano,

Here's a pic in better light of the rear.

And here is what I did this morning. Technically I started it last night however mistakes were made. This morning I took the vinyl off and recovered it. I was going to do the area around the radio and controls as well however, the entire radio needs to come out in order to get to the screws holding the face plate on so I will do it another time (don't have time today).

Thanks again.

Plasti Dip'd the wheels and finished the first part of the CF wrap of the interior. I also painted the calipers the standard red (typical I know). The CF vinyl is the cheap stuff you get at Auto Zone. I've ordered the 3M 1080 stuff and essentially used the cheap stuff as a trial run, this way I can learn from my mistakes on the cheap stuff and get it right on the good stuff.

Enjoy.

This ^

Is it just me or does this not look like the typical a/c red that comes on our cars. New color for 2013's? Or just the picture?

I was talking about something else, BTUT5. But you're right I'm pretty sure the 2010+ red is different than the 08-09 models.

Not sure what is different since this is the first AC I've owned.

I finally replaced the cheap CF vinyl with the 3M 1080 vinyl. The difference is night and day IMO. It was far easier to work with and laid on much smoother.

Don't think so; there's a 2010+ in my neighborhood and if it's a different shade of red than my Code Red it's not that much different. I haven't seen this shade on the coupe; it looks a lot like the burgundy used on the sedan, but I really like it.

I think I'm finished with the interior. I would have covered the passenger and driver side vents but in order to get them off you have to pull the whole dash off :frown:
