Hey guys, this looks like a great Z site. I am ordering today an 07 grand touring coupe 6 spd in red line with black int.. Dealer says 6-8 weeks at least to get. Is he correct or will it be longer? I have never owned a Z but was quite impressed. I bought the biggest piece of crap last year which I am trading in, a 2006 Mustang GT. This car has been in the shop 6-8 times and is still not right. The fit and finish on the Z is FAR superior. Hope you can answer some questions down the road. Thanks.

Well I ordered it and the dealer bought the junk stang for high trade in value. The dealer says 3 months to get as it comes from Japan! The dealer is charging only $500.00 over invoice for the new Z. If anyone has one of these grand touring coupes, how do the Brembo brakes work? Anyone tracking it as I plan to do? Thanks.

Congrats, one thing im curiuos about if anybody knows. I just purchased my 07 Z a month ago and the final assembley point was in the US as it states on the sticker. I find it trivial that the G.T. will be made in Japan. If anybody has the 411 please let me know. I would love to say that my car was made in Japan. my old RSX was 95% bulit in Japan.

or maybe the dealer doesnt really know where its comong from

Congrats on the purchase. I am sure you will be satisfied with the Z33, especially after owning a Mustang. Post pictures when you get it and welcome to NICO!

Got my 2007 Z GT last week, final assembly point Norfolk.

The cars are all built in Japan. The final "assembly point" can include putting on the wheels, aero-kit, door sills, etc. Probably due to some tariff issue.

Congrats! Get some pics up when you get it.

The Brembos, perform great. All Z brakes actually stop the car well. The 03-04 had smaller rotors so they were more prone to fade. the 05+ brakes are almost as big as the Brembos, so there's not as much of an advantage, but the bling factor with the Brembos is nice. When I had my g35 coupe 6MT, i caught many people just looking at my brakes. A cop was even asking me about it while another had stopped me for a front plate violation. If you are a serious tracker though, I'd opt for an aftermarket big brake kit. The OE Brembos are still a bit smaller than I would be comfortable with for heavy tracking.
