Hi Everyone,

We recently purchased an 07 M35x - a leftover with 2k miles, for 11k off sticker. It's got the tech package, satellite radio and rear spoiler. Car was never titled, we're technically the first owners.

So far, so good - we really love it. I bought this car primarily for my wife who found this car and one other, a Lexus RX350, the most comfy for her back issues. However, I'm really enjoying it, and this from a die-hard BMW man (on my 3rd). I find reasons to "take it" ........:D (btw, I'm thankful she didn't choose the Lexus, I hated driving that thing).

Gas mileage is climbing - we're on the third full tank and getting 19 - 19.9; can't seem to crack 20, but there's time. I've gone ahead and filled it with 89 this time around and the mileage has actually improved.....

I've also increased the air pressure in the tires a bit over what Infiniti recommends - I've done many autocrosses and track events in my BMW's and have always found more air pressure to be beneficial not just for track handling, but for street handling and fuel mileage - most recommended inflation pressures are for comfort and "safe" handling (i.e., lots of understeer).

My only complaint thus far is with a bit of vagueness on center wrt the steering, I'll try an alignment - otherwise I love this car!!!

Fantastic.

Here's a pic I took at the dealer on delivery day a few weeks ago - that's my BMW in the background:

Nice!

Definitely keep the tire pressure a few psi higher than the manual recommends. I generally feel that 36psi (cold measurement!) is a good balance between road harshness due to it being too high and poorer handling due to it being too low. Check it often too!

Congrats! As a former Bimmer owner ('98 M3 sedan), I concur with you that these cars are fun to drive, and well appointed for the money.

I'm also was a former BMW owner, 01 540I sport, 96k miles before I had to lay her down last week to purchase my 06 Infiniti M45 sport. Same color as you M but with the Black interior. I still keep an eye on Bimmerfest and Bimmerforum.com. Love your car and congrats. Always remember....

Thanks guys.

I do wish the headlights were a little brighter - ours doesn't have the xenon option.

I'll do a search for xenon aftermarkets.
