Hello all. Last week I bought a 2000 i30t and I'm looking for a good internet forum to call home. It seems like as far as Infiniti forums go, the pickins are slim, so I'm hoping I've come to the right place.

My car has 89,000 miles and seems very solid, but there are a few things that I think may need attention. First, two days after I bought it the SES light came on. I got Autozone to pull the codes and they were PO171 and PO174 (banks 1 & 2 too lean). What exactly does this mean and how much am I looking at to service it? Secondly, occasionally on startup when I step on the accelerator lightly, the car hesitates badly, then eventually runs normally. This is the only throttle problem I have noticed. Any ideas what it might be? And lastly, (yay) every once in a while I hear some clunking in the left front. Doesn't seem tomatter what the circumstances are - flat road driving straight, turning, bumpy road.... strut problem?

Another question - where can I go to find out about recalls and TBS's?

And lastly, for reading all of that, your prize - a few pics of my car! .

Thanks!

Glad you found us. Congrats on the purchase, the I30 is a great car.

Sounds like you may have a bad injector or two. That would explain the engine running lean as well as hesitation under throttle.

The clunking may be a result of worn shocks. It could also be coming from worn suspension bushings. Another possibility is that the front end is out of alignment. I had a similar problem (symptoms sound almost identical) and it was caused by the car being severely misaligned--though it was not an I30.

I've never used online resources for TSB or recall info, since I get notices in the mail from Nissan before the online listings show them. I'm not sure how that works with used car owners. I'd get in touch with an Infiniti dealer.Meanwhile, http://www.infinitihelp.com has the best listing I've come across.
