Post

Hey guys am new here so go easy on me.
Recently brought a 1983 Datsun bluebird 910 sedan. I love the look and everything bout the car but am having some legal issues. When I brought the car it was on cut springs. So got pulled over by the cops and have to go through another warrent of fitness. So my question is what are my options with suspension. I have heard you can use s13 suspension but must do some adjustments? Otherwise I'm fuked and really need some help so any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks yousef

I'm not sure, but maybe Greg can pop in here and tell you... or I can move the thread to the datsun section of the forum if you'd like.

As I recall, Bluebird 910s were basically the same thing as the early RWD USDM 810 Maxima. If I'm right, you should be able to use suspension from any '81-'84 810 or Maxima. These were also based on the 280zx, which means S130 Z parts might be an option as well.

Just steer clear of Maxima WAGONS. Their rear suspension used a completely different solid axle setup than the sedan's and Z's IRS, so nothing will carry over there. In '85 the Maxima went FWD, so that won't be of any help, either.

Should be able to find TONS of early Maxima (Bluebird) parts in the breaking yards there in NZ.

Here's the front and rear suspension sections for the Z for 1983 - If they're similar, it might help you when it comes time to do the R&R.
