I purchased a 95 Q45 and the TCS & Slip lights are on. It has a problem when idling, it stalls. I read through some of the post and gave some of the techniques a shot. I changed the two blue relays, changed the air filter, cleaned the MAF sensor, replaced a vacuum hose. Now on a cold start it stalls out, but after 2-3 more tries, it stays on and idles fairly well. The lights are still on, is there a reset? They don't seem to impair the driving, but I know it should not be illuminated, Help. Thanks for any assistance.

Check you MAF connection?

You probably have multiple failed component from deferred maintenance.

So start with replacing all fluids and filters. OHM tet your injectors and KS tehn report back. You probably need to clean the TB, EGR and IAC valves at the very least, so you might begin persuing the under plenum hose job posts in IOM. Have you read the FSM?

Welcome to NICO.

Not familiar with FSM. On top of these problems, I have a hole in the oil pan. Thought it would be a simple fix, buy pan and gasket and replace, NOT. I did the research and it is intense. Draining the oil now so I can try and JB Weld patch it. Kinda sorry I bought it, but it was a 95 with 115k, thought it was a good deal. Obviously, it has been neglected. I tried to get the TB off but I need to pick up what looks like a hex nut socket. Thanks.

Yes, you will have to have at least a standard metric socket and wrench set. You will allso need a new gasket.

For the gasket and filters, call

For the FSM, you will have to use a 1994 and read the posts for the differences if your car does not have its oreiginal bible sized one.

Most 13 year old, 100,000+ mile old used cars are almost junk unless they were overmaintained by enthusiast owners. Plan on spending 3-4 thousand over the first year to renew worn parts and subsystems to bring the Q back to good mechanical condition.Consider the upfront price to buy the Q a initiation fee....now get ready for the ongoing monthly dues.

If you haven't read the FSM and don't know it by heart. Why not get a prebuy inspection so you can calculate how much more than the average $3,000 in defects you are looking at on the 95Q.

Yes 14 years, 115k [odometer?], and an incompetent owners can do wonders in destroying a vehicle.
