What's up everyone. My name is Kevin an I am from California. I own a 01 q45 that's lowered on meaganracing coils. And for Christmas I am getting some 18x9.5 (front) 18x10.5 (rear) xxr rims for the whip. Will they fit my car perfectly or can I adjust my dampers to make it not rub? New to the game. Please help and thanks ion advance. :gapteeth:

Just make sure you pay extra attention the the suspension while running the rims and coils. As far as the rims it really depends what type your putting on. Pics? Suspension wise I mean hats, bushings, spacers, ends and beginnings, and all those little rubber pieces. As with every car they dry, wear out, or just plain fail. Hell i would replace them now so those 18s ride like butter with the meagans. You throw the meagans with the rims on there you are asking for trouble with a 14 year old car. 18s aren't bad for your model Q but still, they were not designed to handle those rims. FYI putting rims on anything new is straight bullsh!t. Cost you as much as the rims to get the wiring, programming, and ETC. Who knew rims required re-programming the entire car. Pics please?

The fit of the rims is all about the offset. If you go with the stock offset then you should be fine. The Megan coilovers will not give you any help with offset, that is something that rims are setup for. I have 19" rims and they are fine, while the cars were not designed with that size in mind in late 90's, hell a Camry comes with 18" rims now. Stick to the stock offset and you will probably be okay. I ended up thinking I had a stock offset with some stock rims off a M45 and it wasn't so I had to use spacers. They are not that big of a deal, but they were for me a pain to find good ones and cost me $250 bucks.

The most important thing is going to be offset, get the stock offset and you should be okay. Given you're already on coilovers you know the Q rides little rough with that setup, so keep in mind when you buy tires you need XL load rating, most important thing you need 98 to 102 load rating. I had some nice Bridgestone Potenza 050A's that were not and blew out the sidewall going over a bump I drive over every single day. I switched to Michelin Pilot Sports with XL load rating and was able to wear them out before they blew.
