Hello, I hope I am posting this in the right place and not breaking any rules by posting a link. I am looking for a second car to use on nice days or just for cruising around and I really love the look of these older Z cars. I found a 1974 260Z 2+2 that appears to be super clean with a recent restoration and they are asking 4500 obo. I prefer to not have a 2+2 but in all reality it is necessary if I ever want to have my 2 y/o and wife in the car with me. I know there must be several very knowledgeable people here and basically wanted some opinions on the true value of the car, and I realize that its only a snapshot and there could be underlying issues. The link is here: http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/3600159265.html Any input is greatly appreciated, I am in no hurry so I can be patient enough for the right car. Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Hi and welcome to NICO :wavey:

I would not purchase a 2+2, but that is just me. Not my cup of tea.

But I do appreciate seeing them at car shows and such :dblthumb: . Pretty cool car you have found. Sounds like a fairly good deal compared to what I see around here in Ohio. Make sure you check it out for rust. You could spend thousands trying to get rid of that.

I'm no fan of the 2+2 either but the car looks clean. Keep in mind that the market for the 260z and any 2+2 is much smaller than a 2 seat 240z, they are harder to sell and less desirable but of the car meets your needs and the chassis is rust free have at. The mechanicals are simple, Finding a rust free chassis is the tough part of any s30.
