Bought a 92 240SX Hatch last week as my project car, ironically though it runs great.

My main driver is 07 Mazdaspeed3.

I may have seen you before. Or did you just get the 240. I seen a Red 240 hatchback with black rims in the foodlion parking lot about 2wks ago. I think they were going to be having a meet there. There were a couple of different cars there.

I will have had it for exactly a week tomorrow. So that wasn't me, it's red but completely stock looking.

I got the wiring and the resistor replaced found some out in the junk yard. We need to try to get together and have a meet or meet some of the new people. Or update me were the local hang outs are. Thanks for offering the help. Still looking for another KA block so I can start building it up for a turbo. Already found some parts I want to put in for the internals. I can still take pics if you want, and if you can ever use some help with your coupe I have gotten pretty knowledgeable about these cars, ex-specially after tearing down the hatch I had. Did get some new rims on... nice and wide and look good, now just got to get a good color to match.

whats a good size wheel for this car?

I'm guessing 18s would look good, 18x8 just eyeballing it?

I got 18's on mine they look good. look on tire rack to find the right size tire so you have the same dia. as stock so you don't get any rubbing

Here are the 18's i got on my car. Keep in mind these are 18x8.5 20degree offset on the front and 18x9.5 20degree offset in the rear. If you get a normal 18x7 or 7.5 the you should not have a problem with finding tires. Only 5 companyies make matching sets for the sizes I needed.

Any shots of the car looking at it from behind? Just wondering how wide those back tires look from behind.

yeah dude would love some help finishing mine up, its at my gf's house in elgin so its not too far from you maybe 15-20 mins away. when i took it for a test drive i held in the clutch taking a corner and the rpm's dropped and the engine died but i let off the clutch and she fired right back up cause i was rolling and i got her back to the house quick to try and figure it out but i havent had the time to troubleshoot it.

as far as rim selection and tire size go it all depends, my rims are 17x9 and my car is lowered on tien coilovers, the rear fenders are rolled as well.

I would be happy to help. Sounds like the IACV or the TPS might be messing up. Just let me know when you would like to work on it and I can check my schedule. I am on nights this month, and I can let you know I work this weekend. Just let me know.

im going to try to work on it this weekend if i have time because i also have front and rear strut tower bars i need to install but if im pressed for time then it will have to be next weekend. by the way guys next weekend at Carolina Motorsports Park is 24hours of lemons, yeah thats lemons and not le mans. i will be out there watching the race and if yall wanna go let me know we can meet up out there, im going to be there for sure on sunday the 13th but saturday idk cause like stated before if i dont have time this weekend to work on my car then saturday will be fix the 240 day.

Thats cool man... you wouldn't happen to have a spare lower harness would you? When that piece caught fire I think it melted most of the lower harness around the alt. even melted part of the plug on the alt. Still runs just need to replace it be for something happens

i'll check and see what i have because the new KA came with the complete harness, i hope my friend didnt snag it while he was helping drop it in. i still need to break down the old ka so i can haul it off to the scrap yard.

your in luck, i went out to check and the upper and lower harness were still there. i went out to get the injectors but the damn screws were starting to strip so im going to have to wd 40 them bad boys and try again later i guess. it sucks cause part of my tools are here and the others are at my gf's house, just try taking a motor apart without extentions for your socket set, its not an easy task.

Are you getting rid of a KA24DE or E? Cause I am looking for a block and head that I can build up for a turbo. I want to get some Brian Crower parts and build me a nice motor.
