Great news you bring! I hope you purchased some 3m tape as well so when someone smashes out those freshly restored lights with a bat it can work like a charm too.

I'll be interested to know how long it takes before they start to yellow again. I can get my wife's G35 headlights clear as new with no problem, but they yellow again within a month or two. I tried Meguiars UV protector, and it does nothing... (did a side by side test). Duplicolor has a spray coating that's supposed to be pretty good. I did a test run on my Frontier's headlights and I like the product, but it's too soon to declare it a success.

Yep....any polishing of the plastic is temporary at best,as the act of polishing removes whatever UV coating that was there from the factory.Temporary solution at best, with the clouding/yellowing returning much quicker than it initially did.Shocking the NHTSA does not have better standards for this universal, growing safety issue with plastic headlamps.

I have some automotive clearcoat that I shoot them with in my hvlp spray gun. I've never tried the polishing process, but the clearcoat goes on smooth and makes them look brand new again. I owned a Pontiac Montana for about 18 months and they never turned yellow after I shot them, but that was in Alaska.

I think it has a good chance of working. I was able to order it at O'Reilly for less than $15.
