Hi Folks!!! I'm new to the club... Just bought this vert it's the second 240I've owned and the 1st conv 240 I've seen. Paid $1900 for it...And don't worry I've removed the gay furry seat cover since the picsyesterday..

Looks good! I'd recommend you use Photobucket over Imageshack though. Any mods/future plans?

And don't forget to put it in the registry.

It's bone stock with 200,005 miles on it. And I went to Jacksonvilleto check it out, I found out that the roof is awesome but needs a new backwindow. (they caulked it and it works for now) The sellers husband was a mechanic with great mechanical knowledge but little "collector value"knowledge. This car really runs well. But it is still stock and very slow evenin perf running condition. My question to you pros is this:

I don't want to race it, but I want an engine with balls. Can you pointme in the right direction? And I may to want to convert it to a stick later.

thx & have a great weekend -Dennis2

oh yeah I tried photo bucket and it pretty much required me to setup a "myspace" profile & account. truthfully I listen to my"comp programmer" girlfreind and went with "Image shack".

I'm still learning what works on the Nico Site so I probably will switch over to photo bucket after I've learned how to use it better.

Please don't think I'm a retard oops I mean "a special person" ...-dennis2

Really? I signed up on Photobucket about five years ago, so I guess things on there have changed.

And if you were a retard, you wouldn't have bought a 240

Oh, and here's a drunk penguin.

Stick conversion is going to give you good gains, so you may want to do that first. The auto transmission is awful and adds about 1 sec to 0-60 time.

If you want to go cheap, you can get a few bolt-ons (intake, header, exhaust) for the stock motor and get it up to ~175 hp. For about $2.5k, you can get an SR20DET swap and some mild mods and get about 250hp.

We're all special here.

Please keep that car.... A transmission can be replaced! It's expensive i know, but still.... If your car and your personal image is as important to you as mine is to me, you can't afford to give it up.....i'm buzzing now, but those are my thoughts... ; ) -dennis2

Welcome to the club Lush...

your 'vert looks fantastic.. you'd never know that it has 200k on it. Very nice!

Spend some time reading the forums here on NICO.. We've got a TON of info regarding engine swaps into 240's. We have specific forums for CA, SR, KA, KA-T, RB, and even a hybrid forum for exotic stuff like VQ's, VH's, and even some V8 domestic engines..

The 240 is a fantastic platform for originality and creativity.

Check out the sticky threads on top of the 'vert forum.. lot's of good info there. Be sure to fill in the registry info as well please! We'll have soon have a nifty database up for the 'verts.

Let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

Mine has real sad panda look. Yours doesn't look that sad cuz of bra and Canadian DRL.

Your buddy's right about the car scene here... It's weak... Exacly why I had to drive to Jacksonville just to look at it... I'm positiveI have the only vert 240 in Tallahassee... Doubt I'll be doing a completecustomize, but more power is definately in order. thx

About the transmission, My newest 240 (1992) transmission sucks but I also have an 89 240sx hatch that is a total P.O.S.(not from me but the cops used it in B-ham as an undercover and ragged it before i purchased it)it has an awesome auto transmission. Is it just me or why didthe newer auto 240's trans' have problems ????

I'm ready to go stick with my latest I guess...
