I don't get the rabbit with the pancake either, which is why it is so awesome.
But uh, yeah, I fill my 3.5 with 87 and it's been humming along quite nicely.

Nope, not bad for the engine. 93 is recommended, but not required for the 3.5. The 3.5 will get slightly better performance from 93 reportedly. However, I used to use 93 all the time and then once gas prices started rising this past summer I started using 87.
