Hello Nico Club, :wavey:

I am new to this site because I just purchased a 1997 Nissan 240sx LE with 84,000 miles. Runs strong, shifts great, but needs a makeover. I will try to get pictures up when I learn how. The previous owner said someone backed into him in the rear driver quarter. Too much damage to fix. It would have to have a new quarter put on but I dont want to do that. Here are some questions I have that I would like to know to make this 240 an eye catcher:

-Origin wide rear fenders: How do they attach and where? Are there any problems that come with them?

-What offset rim and width of rim would I look for to fill the now wider rear end?

-I like the front bumper but it needs a lip. I have seen lips on other 240s and they are black. Does this ring a bell to anyone and where could I get one?

I know I have other questions but I can think of them right now and I will do a search to see if I can get my maintance questions answered.

Thanks,

Addictuned 240SX

You're questions are FAQ. Go ahead and use google, zilvia, and the search button on here (no particular order) and you'll find that your answers are not that far away.

To start you off, and I usually wouldn't do the searching for you but I'm feeling somewhat nice today.

Rearover fenders attached on the rear panel of the car.
You can mold them into the body of the car, or you can rivit them in. (Most people rivit them in because its easier to replace if the overfender gets damaged)

The Offset and Size you will need depends on how wide the overfenders are, 30mm? 50mm?
Definitely a wide rim and a very low offset to fill in the gap.

This is a OEM lip for kouki 240sx's. If this is what your talking about.

Hope this kinda answers your questions.

That is the lip I want... I did some searching on the classifieds. Only found 1 but he painted it black already. I want to stick with the oem plastic black and not have it match the car. Thanks for your help and Im feeling more confident in my project.

If possible, can I get a picture of the rear wide fenders before they were put on the car? This will tell me if they will cover up the dent.

Thanks

The lips are pretty easy to pick up.

Here's a few pictures to help you get an idea.
Can't really find any S14 pics

Do you mold it with plastic body filler or with fiberglass?

I would mold it and be ultra careful... its not going to be a DD.

Now how do you mount the rear fenders? Rivets then filler over that? I think a 2 part glue would work great in this case. It hold cab corners on trucks, or quater panels onto truck sides. Thats steel sticking to steel so I would check to see if the glue works for the wide fenders to steel.

Im not sure if you knew or not but there is a fiberglass that looks like bondo body filler. Its applied the same way but is a stronger material and can be applied alittle thicker if need be.

As far as offsets go you can check the zilvia thread posted before or go here http://rimtuck.com/
The cars might not have over fenders but you can still get an idea of what sizes you might want.
