Hi guys!

I recently got my hands on a 2007 Nissan Versa 1.8 SL. It's my first Nissan! Great shape, low mileage, and best of all....STOCK.

EDIT: 6 speed, Loaded - Tinted, Bluetooth, 6 disc changer, yada yada yada

Now the hard part...what to do.

I'd like to keep it daily but add a couple things that won't "rice" it out.

First things first: Wheels

My base color is silver. I'm looking to go either gun metal or black. How many inches should I go??

Any suggestion is welcome and appreciated.

Most people on here have put 17"s on theirs. I wouldnt go that big myself.

But I'd look around on here, maybe some will post theirs with the size they have and all. And Gun metal would look great on a silver one.

I know of some flat black ones for sale, they're 15"s and they're great looking. If your interested in looking at those, Shad0wxcalibur is selling them.

Hey, I am also new here, and my Versa is also silver. I am also planning on some black rims, along with some nice dark tint. From what I've been reading, alot of people seem to like 17's, but I could be wrong.

i strongly disagree with anything less than 17... thats just my opinon... reason being is that to me it looks really funny cuz we have such big wheel wells... here is a pic of my versa with 20 inch rims.... i dont recomend doing this tho, the ride is really rough....

nice whip.

do anything else to it besides the wheels? as far as the discomfortable ride, maybe upgrade your shocks?

i'm hoping changing my wheels won't negate the comfort and smoothness of my drive.

thanks for the suggestions so far guys.

Welcome Bro.

I'm with skunk on this one 17" is the perfect size IMO.

Check out this thread to get a good idea on wheels and lowering stances:zerothread?id=336509

Good luck with the search and the "search" option on top is your BEST friend.

The ride is rough because you have almost no tire on the damned wheels.

wow. first time here and already got a sarcastic remark...

what are you? 12?

seriously though, this is a post about suggesting what wheels I can put on my hatch. I can post a thread about sarcasm if you want one that bad.

Not whining about anything, just telling him why his ride is rough. Rubber on the wheels help absorb shock from the road. Less rubber, more shock sent through the suspension which translates into a harsher ride.

FYI, regardless of rim choice, anything above stock and you'll need to get lowering springs to reduce the gap.

Otherwise it'll look like this.

I've posted these rims a couple of times before because they are the ones I want to get. But I don't see that happening anytime soon. I have a silver V as well and think they look awesome on it. Tirerack has them for $154 for a 17".

well, even though you're a complete idiot, at least you know about cars, so I appreciate you telling me about the gap when I switch wheels.

How low should I go and what kind of shock/springs should I use for a comfortable ride? any recommendations?

and when I mean low, I mean low enough where I don't have to go horizontal on a speed bump.

Most people have these. You don't have to buy them from versaspeed.com, though. Shop around you might find a better deal.

I'm just letting you know. The high school way in which you try to throw out insults or calling people idiots is juvenile and immature. Whenever you're done trying to insult and goad me we can get back on topic in this thread, otherwise it will get shut down

You will see more of this

About the tires, as most of us already said, 17 is the sweet spot. However, if you are lowering your car, a 17 inch tire will make the ride stiffer than with 15 inch stock wheels - but it will look better!

I have 17's with a 215/45 tire with Tokico shocks & Eibach springs. The ride is stiffer than stock but I still think it's pretty comfortable.
