Hi, my name is Chuck and my wife's is Merry. Although I have just joined NICO we have owned our '04 Quest since it was new. Our shakedown trip that summer was camping our way from our home in Oregon through Washington, British Columbia and the Yukon as far as the Arctic Circle on the Dempster Highway. We then crossed over into Alaska and toured a fair sized chunk before taking the ferry from Haines down to Bellingham, WA then home. We have subsequently taken our steed to Mexico several times (including three times to the Guatemala border and trips through Chiapas and the Yucatan). One of the reasons we settled on the Quest originally is that she carries so much! We use her as the shore-bound tender to our old sailboat, which lives in Mexico.

The van has been very dependable and has treated us well. I think she has about 175k on her, but like many other Quests the odometer (and fuel gauge, etc.) no longer register. I'm hoping this forum will help me cure this problem, as well as a few other minor annoyances. But I will save those for future posts.

I'm new also but based on what I have read this is a connection problem with the ribbon cable on back of lcd screen which is odometer etc. You can buy the new "improved" cable on ebay or other various sites. I think there is a YouTube video showing how to replace. I will also be replacing on mine in near future.

Took the instrument cluster out and took it to local place for guy to fix. Was before I saw ribbon info or would have done self.

Hi, Tanin Auto Electronix here! We are new vendors to the site. We do sell replacement 2004-2005-2006 Quest LCDs with bonded ribbon cables. There is a how to video on the page as well that shows exactly how to install them, so for any future issues hopefully this can help you out and save you some money on the repairs!
