Im planning on buying a 1993 240SX coupe in some months,i dont know much about cars but how much would it cost to have the hatch edition tailights installed? i dunno if i need to change the lights or just add that red piece of plastic that "connects" the lights.Basically heres what i would like to do..

That would be a completely custom bodywork job and a waste. Why not just buy a hatch if you like the rear better?

you got $$$$ son? Cause you gonna need it.Why not get the car, then invest some time & money into learnign about the car, THEN tackle modding?

The fastback does not have a trunk...Try and look for some other taillights you might like, or create a connecting piece.

it'd take a helluva lotta $$$ ta make that fit, and then flow properly. and then think of the labour costs. but if you really set on that then go for it.just hope u gat the flow bro

I decided to go with the hatchback.Isnt fastback the japanese 180sx? i think the hatchback 1993 has a trunk.Anyway that rear connected lights look is one of the reasons im getting this car,i was going for a 1996 seat ibiza (same connected tailights look) before the nissan.

you dont have a trunk and a hatchback together. the 240 hatchback and 180 only have hatches.

I smell a lack of education in this thread.

Why kill such a perfect rear with tails that probably won't flow with the rest of the car? It's a very novel idea but it'd cost some fat stacks and lots of time to make it look right.

THat job will involve custom rear panels and some other stuff, but If your pockets are that deep...by all means go for it if you want. I too like the back lights of the hatch...that's why I got one.
