Post

I've been roaming around this forum for quite a while now and decided to join today because I just felt a lil' out of the loop lol. Anyways, I got my '08 A/C back in June and I must say, it's one sweet ride. I traded-in my '07 Alt 4dr v6 SL Sedan for this pup. Got the CVT 3.5SE version with the Tech-Pack+VDC. My previous 5 cars have also been Altimas, hah, however this will be my first QX3 (Winter Frost) Altima ever, since my other ones were all black. I really like the color, though I'm sure it's a pain in the *** to match aftermarket parts' colors to the exact Winter Frost paint on the Alti. Thanks to you wonderful posters, I had recently purchased both Stillen wings (roof+rear) after reading the thread that posted all available Spoilers for the A/C, however, I purchased an extra rear spoler (on eBay just in case those double-sided tapes would go "F*** OFF RWARRRRR!!!!11" and fail, falling off my trunk) that I don't think the thread had included. Maybe I'm going blind, heh. The name of this spoiler is "Sportwing" and is manufactured by a company named "Dawn Enterprises, Inc.". I have already installed the Stillen ones, however, the body-shop I went to didn't do a good job prepping/painting them. Looks like they didn't remove ALL of the wings' release-agents and thus the paint job came out with a crapload of fisheyes, so I'm taking the car back to that place next week for them to eat it and fix the spoilers. But back to the Sportwing spoiler, I just got it today and in comparison to the Stillen rear (trunk) spoiler, it looks a lot narrower, but sits almost identical as the Stillen one, but with 1 big difference; The Sportwing comes with a bolt-on kit and instructions and already painted. The part had no dents or scratches and was carefully packaged, but the paint color was a lot whiter than the factory QX3 color. Like I said, matching the car's color is a pain in the ***.I got my windows tinted as well, and (against popular demand here =P ) pinstripes ( I know how some of you think pinstripes are so antiquated now hahah).I will post pictures of the Sportwing vs. Stillen side to side so you can see the differences in width and shape since it's kinda late as it is here in NY.For now I'll leave you with a pic of my car as it is currently. (Sorry for the Low-Res pic as it was taken with my Motorola E6 )I'm probably going to add more mods to it as time goes, but for the time being I'm happy with my purchase. <3 A/C and this forum. =DComments are welcomed, even criticism Take care everybody... Imma go and have a cold one for us!

i know what u mean by color matching to the factory color. i just got my stillen lip painted precision gray (w40) and it came out a lil bit darker than my car. the shop that painted my lip told me the only thing they can do it is to color blend it for a complete the match.

BTW nice winter frost AC

Yeah man, it really sucks that sometimes we need to "blend" the parts' paints to match colors as it is more time consuming and in some instances more $$$$$$$$.Not to mention some body shops are too cocky and fail miserably when doing after-market jobs simply because they feel too "GOOD" to follow the instructions the parts come with. They wind up not prepping them right and sometimes ( like in my case also ) failing to prime the damned things.Just 'cause they're a body shop don't mean they know it all about everything. And thank you for your comment.

08altima35, the world would be a dull place without cold ones. I'd be an angry bastard if that was the case and would've gotten me a mustang instead so I could be the 500th mustang in a 1 mile radius.

Just an FYI, posting big paragraphs is hard to read, best to break it up a bit.
