Hello fellow members. Just wanted to introduce myself since I just picked up my first Atima for my wife and a DD. It is an automatic 2005 2.5s black with grey interior. I don't have any pictures of it yet but it's all stock with 6 spoke hub caps and the NDSS sound system, so probably as basic as it gets. The cool thing was the car came with black housing headlights which I think only the black ones come with? The weird thing was the side mirror covers were missing and the dealership that I got the car from said it was common for people to steal the Altima mirror covers? They did replace them before I got the car but I just never heard of that before. My weekend car is a 1997 SC400 and my DD is a 1995 Ranger. Here's some pics of the weekend warrior...

Hope to learn a lot from this forum.

Welcome!! I cannot recall if the black altys have black housing for the head light or not, maybe when you post the pic we'll have a better idea. I have a feeling they may be after market because normally the housing is a dark chrome interior. They are fun cars indeed, I've personally owned 4 so far from 2003- present. 1 2.5 and 3 3.5's.

Sharp looking SC400 as well :)

Enjoy NiCo!!

Yeah I'll get some pictures up when I can but the weathers been pretty crappy here in Minnesota.

What's with the hood prop being on the hood instead of the car? I had to replace the clip unit because when I bought the car the original clip was broken. This new clip was only $5 but the design looks so poor I can see it breaking again soon.

You can say that again, the clip is pretty cheap quality indeed and I've had to replace them over the years. Be prepared to replace down the road man......only a matter of time.

My clip broke as well, it was very cold that day which is what I blamed it on. You can ditch the whole prop rod setup for one of these.

Mine never broke but it didn't get the chance most of them do cause I did the hood struts a long time ago. Awesome convenience mod and a great suggestion JF.

Here's a picture of the Altima. Nothing special just all stock and as base as it can be.

Very clean looking Altima OP. I'll be honest with you... I look at this picture and can't help but think how awesome it would be to have your neighbors 4 car garage haha.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I was thinking about getting some G35 alloy wheels to kind of make it look sportier but I don't know yet. In MN paint fade is not really an issue because rust is your worse enemy here as when I lived in CA it was the other way around.

Good idea on those hood shocks and maybe I'll look into that if this clip fails me.

Thanks. Not too many plans yet I want to keep it more of a daily driver so if I start putting on it I might not stop. LOL! If anything just wheels, fog lights, and maybe a front lip but nothing anytime soon.
