Picking up 08 G35 S Sedan today. I believe the OEM summer performance tires are on the G. Never had "summer performace" tires before. Don't know quite what to expect for winter time driving....are they dangerous to keep on during winter? If I need to replace, what would be best choice for winter, snow tires or studded tires?

I live in So Oregon. Winter time driving mostly just consists of cold, sometimes icy road conditions. Not too much snow, maybe only 6 or 7 days of snow per year. Just a lot of slippery, sometimes icy roads.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Welcome!!

You most DEFINITELY will need to purchase winter tires. Summer tires will become hard as a rock and you will not move anywhere...trust me. Even with an inch of snow you will be all over the map!

I highly recommend Blizzaks. they're expensive but well worth it.

Hope that helps!

Hello,

Someone recommended Blizzacks, I will too. I just put my winters on today. Last winter I never even noticed it was slippery. I knew it is and I didn't forget it. The car with those tires is just so solid on the road. I passed people on the ulgy inside lane, it never moved. The car must be able to skid in snow but no normal winter driving will do it with those blizzacks.
