New member and tire question (I30)

Howdy! I just bought my 3rd Infiniti - started with a 93 J30 which my son totalled. Replaced it with a 96 I30 which is now parked as a parts car with 345,000 kms. Bought a 96 I30 with 155,000 kms yesterday.

So now I have 2 full sets of wheels, I want to set the "new" car up with summer and winter tires. I did some searching on the forum but to my surprise I couldn't find any tire discussion. SO I'm wondering whether anyone has strong opinions on which summer and/or winter tires perform well on this vehicle at a decent price point. Right now the old car has a set of Yoko Avids, and the "new" one has a mix of 3 different brands.

Woah! Well, I do like to make a terrific impression with my first post . . . I swear I only saw "brakes and suspension" when I perused the topics list. Someone must have gone in and changed it after I posted my question. Ya, that's it!

Now I have to see if there is a "jack stand location" section before I post another question . . .

For winter tires people generally prefer bllizak's.

Yokohama AS430's....awesome all season tire. We sell a ton at work. Every customer has been very satsified w/ the tire. BTW, Welcome to Nico.

Thanks for the replies. I just figured out how to find subscribed threads . . .I posted in the Tires section now that I've done a little research. I'll try to find the Q-45 thread.
