The torsion bar bushings for the front suspension are done. I guess these bushings are a common problem. This is issue #1. I'll be fixing this, this weekend.
#2 My ABS pump stays on after I shut the car off sometimes. The only way I get it to shut off is to pull the fuse.
I just turned my rotors and bled the brakes, so it's tight. I'm just curious about a malfunctioning ABS unit. Aside from that, the ABS works fine. I had to test it out due to some brilliant socal college girl on her cel phone yesterday.
#3 My air bag light flashes. It's on for about 7 seconds and off for 7. It's a constant thing.
I have yet to locate any service/chiltons/haynes manual for me to fix this.
Any input/advice would be appreciated.
Wecome Q, however shouldnt it be J.....
1. Yes all bushings will fail eventually, more a time issue than it is mileage.. After 10 years (give or take) theyre worn...
2. I know ive heard of this before on the J30... best advice would be to search, until a J30 guy comes around
3. You are probably in airbag diagnosis mode... Turn the ignition on, and within 10 seconds of doing so, press the door switch (button on the door frame, on the car.. There is a button that activates whether the DOOR OPEN message comes on and the lights come on) at least 10 times within 10 seconds... Should be fixed
