I am new member here and i just bought a 93 240sx convertible with 155k on it. I will post pics soon. I just did the timing chain and guides and tensioners. I also put megan racing tension rods on it. The only problem with the car is the left lift beam is broke on the top. The top also needs to be replace. other than that it is in great shape. i am the 3rd owner. I also recieved with the car the service manual for the car and the convertible service manual. I am a nissan mechanic so working on the car is fun..

Awesome Edward! Welcome to the club. Great to have you on board.

It's always nice to have another professional mechanic join us. Hopefully we can help you and you'll be able to pitch in and help us in return.

Congrats on the 'vert. I can't wait to see pictures.

Please add your VIN to the 'vert registry sticky thread when you have a chance. Let us know if there is anything we can help with.

I'm not sure if you've lurked in here before, but we are a very mellow bunch. We do however have a few simple requests. Pic and register. Dexter is the official Pic Police. I'm sure he'll pipe in on this post soon. Our general attitude is we don't mind answering questions. We all try to help one another (like family should), but most times we don't get back to answering post quickly. With that being said "The "SEARCH" button is your friend If you look on the top header bar you'll find the RED - BLINKING button. We've all been down the path of frustration when working on our cars and have posted MANY MANY HOW-TO's. Again, welcome. We look forward to seeing pics of the newest baby to the family. And remember crude, or flaming is left to that other web group. Chill... put the top down.. and cruise with us.

Welcome to the forum! Just like some of the others have noted, we are a pretty mellow bunch and we don't flame each other near as much as some of the other forums. If you have any questions please come to us but like GoinTopless240 said, first try the search button..."The SEARCH button is your friend". Oh yeah, and:

Well now that you have posted pics, you will have Dex off your case. And the car looks clean, nice starting platform, but for the love of god, please get rid of those projectors! FTLLLLL

Haha, Piper. My eyes lit up when I saw those. It was went from totally stock to having those. I have seen them look good on cars with full kits and stuff, so you might be able to pull it off. That dent in the rear quarter panel is nasty.

I'm sure he got it at this point.. edward, do what feels right. If money is tight, work with what you have. Take your time and fix what needs fixin first. Getting the top fixed seems more pressing than headlights. Hopefully Danc can get you hooked up. Keep an eye out for any of these cars that go to the Vert Graveyard. I can't imagine that the part is a common part in need. I think a few guys have even pulled the top completely out. Maybe AZHitman might know of a few people (He was one who gutted his top). Good luck. Don't mind the comments about the lights. I'm sure you'll make it all work out. Sit back and have a pancake..
