Bought the new Medal of Honor for XBOX 360, only because 1) I thought it would be awesome, it was one of the first games I played on PS1 back in the day and 2) if you buy it you get access to the beta/testing of Battlefield 3.

Verdict:
Medal of Honor is poop.
Gun noises are muffled, campaign gameplay is glitchy. No thanks.
However, super excited for Battlefield 3, Battlefield 2 is currently my fav---its the most realistic FPS I've ever played.
Anyone lately notice that the online rounds aren't filling up/dropping players/making uneven rounds as if there are server issues or something? Seems to be happening ever since they came out with the Vietnam expansion. So annoying.

I've skipped all the COD series and haven't played an MOH title in ages but I've been thinking about BF3. Might just have to add it to my must buy list for 2011 (currenly it's just Forza 4 and Mass Effect 3). Here's some details I was reading about little while ago. I really hope the A10 makes it into the game.

Classic MoH was fantastic. I have 1 and 2 for my playstation and still play them occasionally. I don't dare play the new one for fear of being let down.

Despite my dislike for console shooters, the shooter that's been nagging at me for purchase lately is MAG. I just don't feel like buying a $60 game and a $60+ headset for one game that I may not like (multiplayer shooters tend to be pretty polarizing by nature).

I'm excited for BF3. I've loved all the BF games, 2 was bloody awesome.

Bad Company 2 is THE best online war fps IMO, and I have over 500 hours into it, so BF3 will be a sure purchase for me.

Well, I think COD4 was pretty good, and I still play it.

I play COD black ops every now and then because thats where most of my friends play so it adds a huge social aspect to the game, it sucks playing BF2 alone and everyone else is on COD. Being in a squad that knows WTF they are doing is important to not getting our faces smashed in BF2.

I recently picked up COD Crap Ops, finished the single player and now working on the MP side. Going to go back to Bad Company 2 when I get aggravated with the MP on Black Ops. I got the Vietnam expansion a week before I picked up Crap Ops, was cool, but overall not as impressive as it could have been. Would have liked for all of my unlocks to have transferred over. Recon class in BF Vietnam sucks without the mortars when you have it unlocked in the regular version.

My GT is in my sig, feel free to add me if you want. I'm only able to get on for a little while after I get home from work and on the weekends.

What do you mean recon sucks without the mortars? All recons receive mortar's AND c4/dynamite now regardless of the spec they pick. So they actually buffed them. And then nerfed them again by taking out a 4x scope option for the bolt-action rifles. Yeah the m21 is alright...but I needs my short-range one-hit kills.
And what do you mean your unlocks didn't transfer? First game I played in Vietnam I had everything available (I'm lvl 39)
For 14 bucks...I think the expansion more than lived up to it's promise and is hella worth it

I just played a couple more rounds of BF:BC2 Vietnam, and you were right all my unlocks are there. I am however confused as to why all my stats were wiped, but my rank and unlocks are still there. THis is true for both regular MP and Vietnam's MP. On my stats screen it shows me as a lvl 1 Private with no unlocks and no badges. This sucks because I don't know exactly what I need for the medals and I know I'm close to getting at least 3 or 4 of them. I am also trying to keep track of my stars and with my stats wiped I don't know what I need to get the medals so I can rank up faster.

Weird...mine are all still there. In fact Vietnam has made it easier for me to rank up, what with all the new weapons. Not that ranks mean a damn thing past lvl 30.

Maybe I need to play a round of regular BF to get my stats back like you have to do when the occassional stat wipe glitch happens. I'll try that today to see if it works. Even the stats on my Android app are wiped.

vietnam is cool in BF but I don't prefer it.

You do know that everything is unlocked from the get-go and that recon has mortars? Just hit right...you don't have motion sensors...

Yeah I figured that out, but my biggest gripe right now is that my stats are wiped so when I go to check what I need to get medals and awards or what my rank is I can't see anything, but when I go into a game my stats and rank are where they are supposed to be.

im excited for battlefield 3, i liked bc2 so much i bought it for both 360 and ps3, i hate cod now for some reason.

I'll be getting it but I'm going to wait until more info comes out before I run out and pre order it. I'm waiting patiently for my Beta invite, hopefully it won't be limited to the PC.

I don't know if I could be less interested in Battlefield 3. I've played all of them, but the last one to really do much for me was BF:V. BF2 and 2142 were meh. Bad Company and its sequel were both great, but this isn't BC3, it's BF3.

I played the original CoD and then the expansion on the PC, and that was a friggun awesome game. The original modern warfare was also good, but I played that on the PC. Then I switched over to the console, and disappointments came.

For MoH, I started out with MoHAA on the PC. Then I got the newest MoH for the '360 and though the campaign is glitchy, the multiplayer is much better than the latest CoD.

I loved BF2142, and BC2 wasn't bad, but I probably would have liked it better if it weren't on the console. I tend not to like FPS when you have to use your thumbs as the only mode of control.
