I know this has been covered before but i need a straight answer...So i just finished putting on my Megan Racing turbo manifold, and the black canister doesnt fit, so right now i have both hoses disconnected and the car seems to be running fine, but should i run a straight hose to connect the 2 hoses together?

you should invest in a hose to connect those two lines. It looks better and it maintains a proper pressure and flow in the head. It should cost you maybe 3 bucks. Why not? Look at the pic in my signature. that hose was 15 bucks braided ss and it keeps the temps on the rubber from getting too high. and it looks decent

Ya thats what he has. its the same thing just without the black canister. that black canister is the oil catch tank. Im not sure of how efficient it is or how necessary it is. in not running one either and i know a lot of people who arent. i actually have the closet side of the T fitting that runs out of the valve cover for those hoses capped off as well as the intake capped off where the hose would run. I just have a hose running from the back of that T fitting.

Ok thanks alot for the help..Yea im gunna put a breather on the left side of the T, and then just run a straight hose off the right side.

That T and the hose running to the intake relieve valve and crank pressure that builds up in the motor. There is one hose coming out by the transmission off the block and the T that comes out of the valve cover. If you have the T with a filter on it you will see over time it will turn black. This is the oil that the stock catch can recieves.

you could get a mini oil catch can and just rig it up that way. i got one for 35 bucks and i love it. i disconnected the line that runs from the T to the intake pipe and connected the T to the oil catch can with a breather. then the other side of the T is connected to the lower hose. then i covered the line with high temp wire protectant. i havent seen any oil in the line so it might all be overkill haha.
