i am planning on making a new manifold for my ka24e but i am curious on which design has actually been proven the best. i am using jordan gladmans bottom mount manifold now it seems to have the optimal design for high flow in a compact form but it would be nice to see the difference between manifolds on a dyno. i am thinking about using a long tube top mount design mounting the turbo forward and turned so i have no dp clearance issues. please post pics , i am making the manifold myself so i want to study and correct any errors other fabricators have made on current designs to come up with my own.

^ Easy boy. He was just pointing out the facts.

Just find a mani that looks good and copy it. What designs are you considering??

the second mani. is just a regular gladman manifold switched upside down. if you want that just cut the flange off your manifold and flip it over and re-weld it up....

the gladman manifold pictured is specified as a side mount manifold, mine points down. i didnt say i want a manifold because it looks cute, it needs to flow.

I like the JGS tool one. Nice and tight so you have plenty of room to run pipe. Also, you can keep your AC.

Some of those equal length ones look cool but I highly doubt it really makes a difference.

Look at how close the pipes run to the compressor. Heating your compressor or other pipes is bad. This will by far squash any possible gain from having equal length.

JGS keeps it tight and simple and keeps hot pipes out of the way.

Also, you can buy the parts for just over $100 and weld it up your self. Or, make your own flanges, go to Weld Bend's website and buy the pipes.

Let us know...

thats cool as F*ck , looks really good. might go that route myself even if its just for the hell of it. jgs has what i probally need if i dont get set up for machining my own flanges, i was planning on making my own. this weather here sucks , it has been so damn cold i havent even gone to pick up any of my new machinery yet.

By all means if we can get an assembled mani that I can use for JGS prices, I am there. But I will likely have to give at the mani because of the turbo I am using.
