Eeek, SR guy stepping into the KA-T forums.

I just wanted to point out that Mahle now offers PowerPak pistons for the Nissan KA24DE. 90mm bore with 9:1 Compression Ratio weight is 360grams. Part #NIS338543I24. I wanted to pass on the word since it is a new 2010 product and not many people know that Mahle released the pistons (in fact, you can't find them anywhere on the internet yet).

My shop sent several sets of OEM pistons to Mahle for initial molds some time ago and they have finally hit the market. In the future, different bore sizes and CR's will be available.

What is 90mm...? Something like .040 over for the KA? Sorry, just woke up...

I remember Mahle was the choice for some of the supercharged SBC builds we used to do.

They're on the market now. Your performance shop may need to contact Mahle directly for pricing, since it isn't showing up on my wholesaler's website.

Yup. Stock is 89mm so 90mm is .040 over.

Just got in our first set from Mahle. We haven't installed them and haven't done any of our own testing. Initial impressions is that the skirt is shorter than stock, the ring lands are more beefy, and the piston is overall lighter and shorter. We are used to polished pistons from CP or Supertech or JE, but appearance is worth nothing inside the engine. The skirts are coated with "Grafal anti-friction" coatings. The Power Pak pistons come with rings and wrist pins.

Kinda cool, I am probably one of the first people to have my hands on these pistons :D Anyway, yall want pictures.

I will have some better pictures in the next few days.
