Question about the new m56 ecu, If the ecu is put on the older Vk56 engine will it produce the same power as the M56? if it does i would not mind buying an older titan and putting on the new ecu if the connections match.. or a Qx56.... Speak to me my children.

There is more to the M56 420 hp then the ECU.

Likely the ECU would work on a Titan but you would not see any power gains from it.

There is 1 way and 1 way only to make hp in a gas engine and that sir, is to burn more gas efficiently.

Get more air into the motor so you can burn more gas. Get the exhaust out of the motor quicker so you can get more gas/air into the motor to burn it.... that is all.

Yeah man in the end its burn more gas more quickly if you want more power.

I bet it has better flowing heads, different compression ratio, bigger cams and a better exhaust in addition to the direct injection.

The MK56VD in the M56 has a completely different top end from the VK56DE in the trucks. VVEL, direct injection.

The 4.5 only made 325 hp... 19 more than the v6. The new 5.6 is worlds better. But the m56 is a good bit heavier. Not sure how much exactly though.

0-60 in under 5 seconds? and Infiniti really doesn't know how to make engines? :lolling:

I bet a Journey M56 is 4.6 seconds to 60. that is honk'n for 4000 lbs.
