Looks good, looks somewhat like the Nissan Fuga or whatever it was called that was at all the auto shows.

Apparently, Infiniti is doing the running-theme idea with having roughly the same tails on all models now... but it looks good.

WOW!

That does NOT look like the same car that was posted back in September!

MUCH nicer. I actually kinda like that - The longer I look at it, the nicer it gets...

I edited it to show the Q, not sure if it had been posted up either.

I agree... it looks good.

I think that the new M looks like a bigger G35 sedan. I think I said the same thing when the Fuga pictures were released. I love the front of the car (new M), the headlights look great, the wheels look really nice and I love the exhaust pipes in the back. I'm not sure if I like the taillights though, they seem a little large.

Actually my first thought was that it looked a lot like a BMW 5 series.

I really like the looks of that M45 except for the tail lights but I'm still not crazy on the looks of the Q.

Also I'm still not a fan of the radio/climate/navigation controls and I know a lot of writers tend to complain about them too.

Alright, now I am an M fan. I have never liked the styling of the current M, and the G, while great looking, it is too small for my needs. Can't wait to see the new M in person. I am nearly ready to step over the 300 HP line! Seems like all of the new cars and trucks have over 300 HP these days. Heck the Nissan Titan runs better quarter miles and 0-60 times. I remember when the Q was new and people shuttered at 278HP. No big deal any more. Ahh! Never enough power!!!!

When will that be released? For the 2005 M/Y? I may have to go rob a bank.

I realy like this new M. Oh yes! It will be mine. Now if I can only get my wife to agree to have us spend $45,000 on a car. If I could add somthing to this car, I would add F1 paddles to the steering wheel to shift gears, ala BMW's SMG. My wife's BMW 330i has a Steptronic with no paddles and I never use the Manual mode, and I like to drive stick. If I had them on the steering wheel, I would use it more often. Keep your hands where you need them most on the twistys, on the steering wheel. I will be at the NYIAS tonight, so I will see the M first hand.

The 02+ Q looks SO much nicer in person. Same with the current M45. Theyre two cars that dont photograph well but when you see it, the profile is nice.

This morning I was tailed by an 02+ Q, while I was in my 92. I wish I had my camera!

Agreed, and the only Q45 that looks better in pictures than in real life, is the Y33... Spectacular in pictures, not really in person..

I have yet to see an 02 in person yet...

Didn't I tell you a month or two back it would grow on you:pface ?I like the tailights on the Fuga better. As rydwhite says they are a little large. Other than that it is hot. Hey guys trust me next time!:D

Is this supposed to be the "new" Q? I thought tehey were remodeling it? Or is this a holdover till next year cause I see no difference except for minor interior changes and tail and headlight modifications which are minor as well.

All they really needed to do was add exhausts on both sides like this:

The pics do show the new Q45 as only having 1 set of tips, but the M45 has dual tips, hmmm, what's up with dat?

IDK, but the Q definately looks better with the dual exhaust.

I like the styling tricks the new Q used to reduce visual height and create a sense of sleekness.

A chrome strip on the rear bumper, like on the S-class, seems to help a bit -- The 02-04 Q's butt looks excessively tall despite being a typical size for its class. The new tail lamp design also helps to reduce visual height, making the trunklid look just a hair shorter.

The dominant grille is a plus for me as well. I've been looking at this thread a lot in the past few days, and I wasnt impressed at first. But the latest updates to the Q seem to do the trick.

I'm disappointed to see seat controls mounted on the seat again.... heard they were getting rid of that on G35 per complaints of numb legs.

New M45 takes queues from G35 and Q45 but I don't think it has it's own style, just a mix-and-match.... definitely a TEAM design.

I don't understand why they wouldn't keep the exhausts on both sides and put them on the M. What logical reason could that be? I know the pipes on both sides is way hotter!

Well, here is the current setup on all Q's and M's.

I'm wondering what the reason is that is was done this way? They could have easily runs those two pipes all the way back. It looks like there may not have been enough room on the right side with the trunk.

I like the new M too bad my budget can't fit the bill. The dual exhaust does help the appearance. Which is very important since the back is the only part of an Infiniti most people see. That is, when in motion. I believe with Infiniti’s styling would be BMW buyers that don’t like the new 3’s, 5’s, & 7’s will be looking at the G’s, M’s, & Q’s. I wish my G sedan had dual exhaust like the coupe. Kev...
