What a great looking car. I love the way the black looks. Dont get me wrong, I love the silver on mine, but when cleaned and freshly waxed the black looks so clean. I wish I would have gotten the aero package on my 06 M35 but either way the M looks good with or without. I did just order the lip spoiler to give it even more of a sporty look. Cant wait to get it put on.

Can you tell me how you uploaded your picture on here? I cant seem to figure out how to upload a picture of mine right off my computer. From what I read, it looks like there might be a trick to it by I dont know the trick.

Beautiful car. I have an identical one, and its awesome. Congrats.

Only advice I have is, dont take it through an automatic car wash that touches the car.

Thanks for the tip... Are you suggesting handwash only?

Yes hand washing is the only way to both get the car really clean, and keep the car (relatively) swirl free. In a pinch I'll take my car through a brushless automatic wash, but from what Ive read they use really strong detergents and thats not good for the wax or the paint, so I stay away from that as well.

I hate seeing black cars on the road with swirl marks, so Im kinda obsessed with keeping my car swirl-free. I hand wash with microfiber mitts, I use two buckets (one with fresh water, one to rinse the mitt). Then Ill use microfiber towels to dry the car. Its fun in the winter.

Touchless car wash only if you don't want marks from an automatic wash.

I would also suggest using this:http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/...14422

After you wash your car use the spray, you will be amazed by how well it works, I know I was. It takes about 20 minutes to do the whole car.

great looking M there. yea, mine has swirls from the previous owner and it looks like it went through a machine wash at an infiniti dealer. took my altima once to a dealer and they ran it through the wash. i was going to detail it a day later and noticed tons of scratches on it that were not there before. of course, nissan paint was delicate and i don't know how it is on the M but being balck, i would avoid machine washes if you can and just stick with hand washing it

I found a detailer who was also a paint restoration specialist and had all the scratches removed. It wasnt cheap, but the car looked like new after
