It is in excellent condition except for a few minor things that I am having the dealer take care of (got it in writing)
I paid $23,995 and think I got a steal from what I can tell. I am looking forward to being a member of the forum and learning new things about my M45. I traded in a BMW 3 series and I think this is a big trade up.
I live in Minnesota so my first order of business is going to be getting winter tires or at the very least all seasons. I am thinking of getting a wheel/tire package in 17 inch to keep on during the winter. Any suggestions from fellow winter drivers?
Even thought the inside of the vehicle is mostly immaculate I noticed that the headliner was smudged up a bit. Anyone have any experience in cleaning a headliner or could recommend a good Twin Cities detailer?

That is a great deal, but it is not very realistic. Especially when you had a trade involved. How much did you get for the 3-series? What year? How many miles, auto or manual? We need to know more facts to truly understand the situation.Bob24 wrote:I bought a 2007 M45 today! It has 20,000 miles. Forgive me my skepticism, just wanted to make sure...Bob24 wrote:Here is the story. The dealer had two 2007 M45's. One was a black sport with 27K and the other was an umbria gray sport with 20k miles. Both were priced at $25,995. The black one came in first and he called me to come and take a look and drive it. I did and I liked it well enough but I could kind of tell the car hadn't really been "babied".
I had a 2000 BMW 323CI to trade in with 188,000 miles. He offered me $4,000 for it. That put the deal at my car and $22,000 grand. I counter-offered $20,000 plus my car. He balked and I walked.
He called me when the umbria gray one came in a couple of days later. He told me the car was tan and I have no interest in a sand or tan colored M. He told me in his message that he could do that one for my offer of $20,000 plus my car.
I looked on their website and lo and behold not only was the car umbria grey and not tan, but it also had the laser guided cruise package, the wood package, and the ground effects kit in addition to having 7,500 less miles than the black one.
I went in and test drove the gray one and it had definitely been babied much more than the black one. With several thousands of dollars more in options and less miles it was a no brainer to accept the offer of $20,000 plus my ride.
Well we were signing the paperwork he told me I got a steal of a deal because he had totally forgotten about the laser guided cruise package when he priced out the car and that it was a $2,800 option that never factored into his price. I take whatever a salesman of any product tells me with a grain of salt but he seemed to be shooting straight.
So, there are two ways to look at it I guess. Either he went up on his offer on my car by $2,000 from his original offer or he shaved $2,000 off of the $25,995 price of his M45.
Also, I ran both cars through AutoCheck by Experian (a product I think is superior to Carfax) and both were clean as a whistle.
I am also ordering up a set of Blizzaks on 17 inch wheels for winter driving.

Very nice car, congrats! The interior is identical to mine, btw.Bob24 wrote:The tire/wheel package is Blizzak LM-22's on MSW type 12's
Here is the car btw. He is a little slow on taking them on his website since both M's are now sold.
