Hello everyone. I purchased My 06 M35x last night, I've always liked this car after test driving one in 2006 and have finally been able to get one. I'm coming from a 2005 Cadillac STS with V8 which was a nightmare on service. I'm hoping this car is better to me. I do have a question about the audio. I've searched and found some threads but didn't really find an answer. Unfortunately my M doesn't have the Sat/Cat button on the console and I'm very interested in being able to do both audio streaming as well as a direct connection from my Moto X phone to to the stereo. Is there a way to do this? I don't have the RCA input in the rear seat area either. I've heard about Grom? Is this an option for me?

trie pressing your radio button until it changes to xm,sat or something like that mines doesn't say sat on the console but if i click the button the stations come up and i used the I simple hook up it comes whit an aux cable and you can connect the micro usb to it the only thing it requires is that you plug it strait to your radio in the back

I just went and checked it again. Mine only toggles through AM FM. However I do have a CAT bottom down near the ABC presets. Does that help me with the. AUX mod?

no the cat button is just to choose how you want your radio to randomize how it plays the music on your CDs if you have bose you might have the place t connect the system your looking for it might just not have nothing connected to it i say pull the radio out and see if its their i wish i could get a pic to show you which is the plug i know that the sat option docent work after you plug the system you want in so you might not have the sat pieces but the option might be their on the dec to instal one

Hey M35x check out this link below. I'm in the same mix but I haven't bought this adaptor as of yet. Tired of playing 6 cd's and would like to plug in my phone via the aux connection already. Might do it soon. Hope this helps.

40below: that looks good, I think that would work. I've also seen others that give usb control as well. I'm hoping to narrow down my choices and get something soon. Please let me know how it works if you decided to go this route.

It is my understanding that all 06 -2010 M's were pre wired for xm sat radio. If you open the truck and drop down the rear parcel shelf cover you will see a bracket on the right hand side. If the top part of the bracket is empty, you have the room to add a Nissan sat unit. You will need pull the wire harness down and find the plug for the sat radio.

My 07 was loaded except for Sat radio- bought a receiver online from ebay and then purchased an antenna from cruchfeild. I installed both and hit the radio button and I was able to see the sat radio signal- called xa/sirrus and subscribed and all is good.

In the FSM manual look up the section for PG then go to page 103 the diagram will tell you where the sat module is installed

No Idea, my car comes with the av input in back of the arms rest- I have the model with DVD and the bose surround system, it came with blue tooth etc. I know that a few people have gone to after market electronics to stream media through blue tooth, there is a lot of info on here about that - good luck

Thanks Flex128. I thought that unit was offering only 2 auxiliary 3.5 mm headset jacks.I didn't think that one would allow USB? My ultimate goal is to allow my Android Moto X to be controlled via the steering wheel by the USB connection. Ill be using the M35's Bluetooth for cell calls, and it would be great to have a 3.5mm connection or iPhone connection as well. I think the From unit gives me the control by USB I'm looking for I'm just not sure if I have the correct connections on the back of my stereo or not.
