Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I picked up a "new to me" 2006 M35x last night w/ 137,000 miles on it to be my new commuter/beater and am looking forward to tapping into the wealth of knowledge here as I work to keep it roadworthy. Appears to have the Journey and Technology packages (14 speaker Bose, Lane Departure, and DVD nav). The car is clean, with a couple bumps and bruises, but drives great and should only need new tires and an alignment at first. No mods planned (maybe the DVD bypass - does it work as good as it sounds?), just going to keep it in the best mechanical and cosmetic shape I can and drive it until the wheels fall off!

Apparently I'm not allowed to post pics via URL yet, but it looks like every other Ivory Pearl/tan 2006 M35x.

Welcome to the forum! You got a nice car, considering the mileage and it having no major issues. Nice!

And yes, there is a limit on posting URLs until after your 10th post.

Welcome to NICO! I had a 2007 that was obsidian / bourbon interior that I loved. Now I have an 09 with your same color scheme. Check out the FAQ thread to get important info on bulbs, engines, and even some mods that others have done.

Thanks for the welcome! I have already checked out the FAQ thread, as I want to replace all fluids/filters/bulbs over the coming weeks just so that I know I'm starting out fresh. Been around Nissans for the past 10 years, so pretty comfortable with how they operate, but it's a big change for me personally coming from a 2015 F150. Luckily this 2006 has most of the same tech my 2015 truck has.

LOL, you said it! Whenever I drive my friends around, they cannot believe that my car is an 06. They packed a lot of tech into these cars! I am actually in the process of replacing ALL bulbs (int/ext like you) and have the same car color scheme so I hope they turn out well. Welcome to NICO :)
