Just wanted to say Hi, just unexpectedly picked up a 06 M35 Sport so now I get to figure it all out......not even sure what I all have to be honest was at a Suzuki dealer car lot of all places.

Former BMW guy and while I still love BMW's I couldn't swing a 5'er anywhere near the price of this so here I am.

Okay no real point in this post other than to say The M35 is gone it has no soul it's just eye candy and fancy electronics. Thankfully I was able to get such a good deal at the time that I even came out ahead taking it to Carmax

back in a BMW

I disagree. The m35 has a ton of soul; more than almost every other entry level luxury sedan. Of course, the 5 series is on a slightly higher level, and a fantastic car.

BMW may be fantastic to drive, but not to own long term. Tons of problems as they age. I call my friends 750Li a "German Jaguar"

One man's soul is another man's..? It all depends upon your perception.

My perception is the price (even you cringe @ BMW prices) and the level of care required for the Beemer easily reaches the point of diminishing returns whereas the price and level of care w/my M35x is just right for the "soul" that fits my specific perception.

My new 1976 R-75/6 Beemer motorsickle-now there was real soul!

I've always been easy in my love of really fine running machinery.
