Guys. . .recently bought a 2006 M35, and am in need of an owner's manual. Can anyone explain a long, subtle beeping noise? It ususally does it 2-3 times, then stops. Looks like there is a ! icon located next to the temperature gauge, but it is reading fine. . . .any thoughts??

Low tire pressure. When it detects your tire pressure under a certain psi there will be a long beep warning you your low on air.

Low tire pressure, huh? I will check that out. Literally got the car yesterday, and have just started tinkering with the buttons on the dash. Is this car known for providing warnings at the early onset of issues?? Thanks for the help everyone.

Welcome to the forum Jeff! Lawrenceville, GA here.

Definitely sounds like the low tire pressure alarm. The alarm is set to go off if the tire pressure falls 5 or more PSI below the recommended tire pressure. After you inflate the tires to the proper pressure (read the decal inside the driver's door jamb) you will need to drive about 5 miles for the sensor to reset.

The M's are pretty good about having warning lights / alarms to notify you of things are are not right. Check the manuals out online here at the forum. There is a section on the dash indicators and what they mean. That should answer any questions.

Good luck.

To reset the system you have to drive faster than 25 MPH for 10 minutes. If you dip below 25 MPH, the clock restarts.
