You CAN NOT have a 2" drop with stock feel to the springs! You would bottom out on every bump! To lower a car you must have STIFFER springs to prevent it! Springs like the Eibach are increasing-rate springs, which means they get stiffer as they compress. This is the ultimate in terms of comfort and performance on a shorter (lower) spring. No 'magic pill' exists in the world of lowered cars.michaelthepsycho wrote:I wish a company would step up and make: (A) Shorter (B) stock stiffness springs OR (A) Longer (B) softer springs to provide the same lowering while maintaining stock ride quality. Don't make me do the calculations for spring cutting Let's hope Sprint will be my salvation 2.0"/2.0" squishy drop

Yeah... I know they're progressive... I'm already bottoming out on my Eibach's and the front bumper has been taking a beating... Which is really weird @_@ That's how terrible the roads here are. Going back to stock suspension soon! Looking forward to Wednesday No mo road rumbling constantly... I hope.Ferguson wrote:You CAN NOT have a 2" drop with stock feel to the springs!
Ive had no issues with my springs, and ive had them since the first groupbuy. You will miss them, and im not sure if it matters but you had to cut your bump stops when they were installed.michaelthepsycho wrote:Well Yeah... I know they're progressive... Erm...didn't you read the instructions? I've never dropped a car without being explicitly instructed to cut the bumpstops. Depending on the degree of the drop and the springrate of the new springs, if you don't cut the bumpstops you'll bottom out on big bumps. Trust me...I forgot to cut them on my last car...ouch.Tommy: wrote:]Cut in what way? I never cut mine, does it make a big difference?
I hope so....saywat wrote:sprints are known to make pretty low dropping springs btw..
That's the problem with not having your own space and equipment... The shop I go to was recommended by a friend but in my mind, their work is only close to competent though... At the same time, I've been going to them for a bit so I don't want to go through the process of finding another place. If someone has any suggestions for OC, CA, please, do tell I doubt I'll miss the Eibach's.ESP wrote:Erm...didn't you read the instructions? i have no clue man, i just called to find out the drop, and he told me the wait would be at least 8 weeks.. said to be working on spring rate.coderedk wrote:so what about the sprint springs on ebay?
damn! 2inch all arround totaly pwns the eibachs's 1.4 inch front and 1.0 inch back.MorningViewCoupe wrote:I just got off the phone with a sprint representative.. He said the drop is going to be a 2inch drop all the way around, but wont be out for at least another 8 weeks.
Wheres the sleeping smiley face... Ill believe it when they hit the streets, besides, a 2" drop all around wouldnt work with my wheels anyways.MorningViewCoupe wrote:
