How many more hours to build the longblock

I need a new starter, and a new altinator, all else is salvagable

What other parts will i need for the long block gaskets etc? and how much more $$

Whatcha all think??

Spoke to Joe at Everything Inf he told me which # new block i need he said they never had a problrm w/JDM Blocks and told me not to worry.

Just remember your going to have to do many of the work on either engine... If you can get them for similar prices, id go with the new engine...

I'd say new ... it just seems like the safer move, and I'm a "play it safe" kinda guy.

Well the choice has been made for me the long blocks available are for no TCSand for TCS w/HICAS

I have TCS

THe only thing is youll want to replace your PS pump......

Yeah, as far as I can tell from the FSM the only diff between TCS and non TCS is the TB. All the ECU sensors are the same. Same for HICAS, you just need to swap pumps.

Are these the long blocks on ebay? They're '94s, right? If so, you may have to swap some sensors over or else splice the '94 up connectors on your wiring loom. Everything else is the same.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me will chime in with a full list.

Have the shop provide and warranty the engine or you will be up the creek if anything goes wrong.

Direct Imported Used Engines. Six months nad unlimited miles on the internal parts only from the date of purchase. No warranty is covered on any attached accessories and parts such as manifolds, carburetor, distributor, alternator, starter, water pump, thermostat, clutch, flywheel, timing belt of belt-driving engine and all seals etc.

Six months or six days-doesn't really matter that much. Just make sure that the shop that installs it also warranties their work as well as the engine or it could cost you. Get something in writing. If they were new factory parts, I would not have this concern.
