Hello, everybody!

I just replaced rear and front upper links on my s14 (to fix camber). I did my best to get alignment right, myself. I simply used 2 and 6 ft level. To my big surprise it came out good, and the car feels much, much better now. No vibration/pulling. But I wanted to take it to a shop anyway. Two shops I have checked didn't want to do it, since the rear suspension isn't stock. I was mad, and even if they did take it in I would have to be with the guy so I could explain how to do everything!

How does everybody doing rear alignment? I'm sure there are some techniques I don't know about.Thanks.

A shop shouldn't fear setting alignment on your car. That's absurd. If our shop said no to modified suspensions(what they're saying to you, essentially) we'd lose 75% of our alignment business.

You should have done toe links too, btw

The only thing I'd steer clear of with your car are those spacers, but studs look plenty long..

Bottom line is, find a shop that'll help you out. Don't eyeball the alignment. If a shop doesn't want your money, never go there again and tell all your friends to never go there again. Word of mouth is still the strongest most powerful advertisement tool ever.

Hey!Yes there is a Nissan dealer very close to me. I will try them, but I always thought that they charge a lot, but anyway I'll check them out.

Here is another question:I have replaced 2 out of 3 links, upper front and upper rear. Do I need to replace second toe link to successfully adjust camber?

The upper most link (curved) adjusts the camber (horizontal pivot inward\outward adjustment) and the toe link, which you dont have, adjusts just that (vertical pivot inward\outward adjustment).

To complete the package, you should get that. It will ensure that your toe settings wont vary as much (bump steer) and will stiffen up that link as well.
