yeah...that's a good solution...NOTRmuth25 wrote:I have the solution...just take the tech page down!
Then take them off! Frankly, i don't think you'd being saying that if Nissan was the first to come out with it and everyone with Audi's was mimicking the lights. If you're keeping them on just for the attention then I guess deep down inside you like them because it you really hated it, it would have been off a long time ago.toxik wrote:i can't wait to take my audi LEDs off. i'm just waiting for projectors or something to replace the stock look of our headlight.... that's really the only reason i keep them there, it gets a lot of attention. But I absolutely hate how rice it is.... its an altima not an audi, and not mention everyone and their mothers have LEDs now on their whip. Again, if not for all the looks and positive comments I keep getting, I'd take em out by now.... hopefully those projectors are around the corner
yes darryl, i know imitation is best form of flattery, but does that mean i'm making Audi drivers feel good about their car? I have no problem with other people trying to put LED strips on their car in random locations, it's a hot look and I can't blame them. But the altima coupe has a lot of competitors in its price range, I personally got it because it looks different then most cars, I know everyone here has been asked at least once "what car is that?" I want to keep that uniqueness, and I'd be lying if I said it doesn't bother me that my car is imitating an Audi. The oznium strips are after all a much cheaper solution, not to mention its wedged in between a headlight and bumper.... it makes it look a little cheap.... I wouldn't mind it as much if I had it inside the headlight like you darryl.dangeris wrote:Then take them off! Remember,...Imitation is the best form of flattery!
Fair enough Arthur. I fully understand you wanting to keep the "uniqueness" of the coupe. Sometimes I wished that Nissan used a different name for our coupes instead spinning it off of "altima". I think it would have had a bigger and better impact on the automotive industry. :uhuhtoxik wrote:yes darryl, i know imitation is best form of flattery, but does that mean i'm making Audi drivers feel good about their car? Again, I love how they look, it just bothers me so I will replace them at some point
I've had mine as turn signals for a while now ...sorry doc didn't know you had them too hahaharjdmmfl1 wrote:I took them off, and replaced them with similar strips, but I used orange/amber instead of white... and I have them installed as turn signals instead of running lights (I hope that doesn't become the new rave)...
oh no don't worry, i didn't feel that you were when I read your post.dangeris wrote:

I didn't show how to hook it up as that was pretty easy: 2 connections. LEDs primarily have 2 wires, positive and negative. Find those wires and splice it into the park light wiring. I believe black is the ground and green is positive.

yes ground wire. Cars are direct current (DC). open your hood and locate the battery (you know what that is right?) if not, it's the big rectangular block of plastic that has two thick wires going to it. It's located at the front of the car to the right just below the engine bay fuse box. Notice one is marked positive (+). That would be the lead with the thick red wire going to it and the other is negative (-) That would be the one with the thick black wire to it. All the electrical components are energized by those two wires. At the top of the headlight, you'll see where the park light bulbs are. Run the wire of your new light to the park light and splice them into the respective wires.chiapetchua01 wrote:
