there's plenty of threads here of folks that put these on their cars in a number of different orientations (inside the headlight housing, underneath the housing on top of the bumper, on the lower grill area, etc) I think Dangeris was the first to do these over a year ago...

anyway, be sure to get the right ones.. the ones you ordered are side facing leds, others are forward facing, and most of us got em directly from the source at oznium.com

sorry to burst ur bubble but those oznium lights are crap they use very cheap leds.. as far as replacing anything yeah okay brians led strip got replaced real quick.. I guess the retro work on the headlights aren't go well Mike?

BTW,..I don't think it's played out. I still get looks every time I turn them on. It comes down to this...Its electrical and electrical things will fail. Case in point..I replaced my $20 coffee maker with a $100 coffee maker. 3 months later, the $100 one crapped out. Went back to the $20 one which is still kickin after 3 yrs. the point here is that oznium's customer service is second to none

I sorta understand where Surman is coming from...

As far as them being played out... Dangeris had the first ones i've seen under the headlights, and then i was the first car that I knew of that put them on the grill area above the fog lights.. and then... EVERYBODY began to do the same thing. I mean i can't hate because i stole the idea from audi, but dang, I like being original too much to keep them on, so I took them off, and replaced them with similar strips, but I used orange/amber instead of white... and I have them installed as turn signals instead of running lights (I hope that doesn't become the new rave)... anyway, some folks are just getting the car, and it still looks good IMO,. that's why so many other cars (now porsche and mercedez) are coming out with similar style running lights...

so no, I wouldn't say they are played out, but I would say DO NOT expect to be original with them because A LOT of modded Altima coupes have them

as far as quality, I have not had a single problem with any of my oznium lights and I agree that oznium is second to none in terms of customer service (ok, maybe second to Stillen).. so if he IS ging to get those strips, I would suggest getting them from oznium

Well I just looked on Oznium's site and they have a new product listed. If they had these a year ago I would have gone with these!

i can't wait to take my audi LEDs off. i'm just waiting for projectors or something to replace the stock look of our headlight.... that's really the only reason i keep them there, it gets a lot of attention. But I absolutely hate how rice it is.... its an altima not an audi, and not mention everyone and their mothers have LEDs now on their whip. Again, if not for all the looks and positive comments I keep getting, I'd take em out by now.... hopefully those projectors are around the corner

yeah i guess you can call them "played out" in your area but in central Arkansas there are very few and by that i mean less then 5 coupes that r anything other then stock...so anything i do to my coupe will seem original in my area...and yeah i am just getting into modding my coupe becuz when i got it i had just graduated high school and now that i am in my second year of college and working i am finally getting to do some work on the AC...

yeah...that's a good solution...NOT

Taking down a tech page just because you guys think it's played out is not a viable reason. Tech pages are there to help people; whether its to customize a specific area or a car or how to rebuild a broken part.

Call Whine 1 1 if you don't like it! Maybe they'll send the Wham-bulence

Then take them off! Frankly, i don't think you'd being saying that if Nissan was the first to come out with it and everyone with Audi's was mimicking the lights. If you're keeping them on just for the attention then I guess deep down inside you like them because it you really hated it, it would have been off a long time ago.

Remember,...Imitation is the best form of flattery!

yes darryl, i know imitation is best form of flattery, but does that mean i'm making Audi drivers feel good about their car? I have no problem with other people trying to put LED strips on their car in random locations, it's a hot look and I can't blame them. But the altima coupe has a lot of competitors in its price range, I personally got it because it looks different then most cars, I know everyone here has been asked at least once "what car is that?" I want to keep that uniqueness, and I'd be lying if I said it doesn't bother me that my car is imitating an Audi. The oznium strips are after all a much cheaper solution, not to mention its wedged in between a headlight and bumper.... it makes it look a little cheap.... I wouldn't mind it as much if I had it inside the headlight like you darryl.

Again, I love how they look, it just bothers me so I will replace them at some point

Fair enough Arthur. I fully understand you wanting to keep the "uniqueness" of the coupe. Sometimes I wished that Nissan used a different name for our coupes instead spinning it off of "altima". I think it would have had a bigger and better impact on the automotive industry. :uhuh

Also, please know that I wasn't slamming you because after re-reading my post,..it sounded like I was...which was not the case nor intended. Sorry Bro..

oh no don't worry, i didn't feel that you were when I read your post.

the whole LED topic has been on my mind recently. I saw a red GTR couple weeks ago with LEDs on the front bumper.... and I just thought to myself, why would you do that? That damn GTR started this whole thing in my head ever since lol.

DO NOT BUY FROM THOSE LIGHTS ON EBAY -- STAY AWAY FROM I-JDM LEDS... I got some for my interior and they are pieces of crap.

Just words of warning...

it is white lol the pic makes it blue for some reason! all i did as far as wiring goes is i just connected them temporally into the parking brake light which you can get to from the topside of the hood...i just spliced it for now but i plan on putting it on a switch once i get some more LED's it took me about 2 hours to do it from the time i started taking off the bumper to the time i put it back on and i did everything by myself with no experience at all lol

there is a DIY on this..infact I wrote it..

http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=349677

I didn't show how to hook it up as that was pretty easy: 2 connections. LEDs primarily have 2 wires, positive and negative. Find those wires and splice it into the park light wiring. I believe black is the ground and green is positive.

Now Go, Fight Win!

yes ground wire. Cars are direct current (DC). open your hood and locate the battery (you know what that is right?) if not, it's the big rectangular block of plastic that has two thick wires going to it. It's located at the front of the car to the right just below the engine bay fuse box. Notice one is marked positive (+). That would be the lead with the thick red wire going to it and the other is negative (-) That would be the one with the thick black wire to it. All the electrical components are energized by those two wires. At the top of the headlight, you'll see where the park light bulbs are. Run the wire of your new light to the park light and splice them into the respective wires.

If I had an "easy" button I'd hit now...

thanks dangeris for the helpsure i sound like a complete retard but ya any help could be used

and yes i do know what the battery is
