Well, complete with some ensuing drama, I finally have some new wheels on the Q. For some of you that dont know, I bought a set of OZ Superleggera wheels on ebay, I got them and the offsets were not as listed. Went through some BS from the seller, and returned them.
Its the best thing that ever happened to me, because a week later I found these wheels on ebay. I paid MUCH LESS for these wheels AND tires (tires are brand new BTW) than I did for the superlegerra's without tires....!
So heres whats on the car....
OZ Racing F1
18x8 245-45-18 Offset 3518x9 275-40-18 Offset 45
Tires are dunlop 9000's all around..
The style is still growing on me and Im not sure I like the wheels... For the price, there was no way I coudl say no! Its nice because I wanted something different for my Q, as its always had a very classic silver 6 spoke.. This is DEFINITELY quite different.
The fitment of the package is AMAZING. The 275s do not rub in the rear and its not even that close... If I put a tiny bit more camber in the rear I could probably squeeze a 285 on there... I think 18x9.5s could EASILY fit in the back of the Q, MAYBE 18x10 but thatd be tight... Theres plenty of room on the suspension side and the fender side is about what you want it to be. I dont have any way to measure how much room there is right now, that will come later...
The 245-45-18s come HIGHLY recommended by me over the 245-40s i had on my Q formerly. Not only do they have the PROPER load rating, but the ride is very nice. Right now I have them pumped up to 35 and they dont ride much different than the 235-60-15s I had on my stock wheels. A little firmer, but MUCH nicer than the 245-40s. plus, I think the extra sidewall ofthe 245-45 and 275-40 looks a lot better!
I cant comment yet on how I like the dunlops however so far they seem nice!
IF ANYONE is thinking about getting 18s, get 245-45 over 245-40 or 255-40.... The small difference (.7in) in overall height is so much nicer with the ride. I had both 245-40 and 255-40 and 245-45s ride so much nicer and handle just as well..
So without further delay (i know you probably wont read my babbling anyway) heres some pics. CLICK THUMBNAILS TO ENLARGE
