Have a 03 G35. The Drivers door stopped locking (passenger doors still lock and unlock properly) but will still unlock. I have tested the actual motor and it works no problem.

I believe it's the actual remote keyless entry module. Has anybody replaced one of these before? It's the module below the fusebox in the drivers kick panel.

Also is reprogramming the factory fobs to the new module fairly easy? and is there anything else I will need to program when I put in the module?

Hi there and welcome to Nico.

From your initial description, I think it is safe to assume that you are in need of a Drivers door lock actuator. I usually verify this by locking the door and hitting the unlock bottom on the remote or by using the key in the lock. Paying attention to the movement of the locking button, if it moves just a little (almost a flicker) then the actuator inside the locking mechanism is no longer working as well as it should be.

As for your remote program, I know the procedure is around here somewhere but I do not think that replacing the BCM is going to fix your issue.

Ya that was my first thought. ...

But I have disconnected the motor from the system and operated with +12 source (reverse polarity motor) and it locks and unlocks nice and smooth.

my friend picked a module up from the wreckers for a couple of dollars today - so we will see what happens. Fingers crossed
