Has anyone seen the new Weapon-R dual chambered intake? It uses two seperate diameter pipes within another along with velocity stacks to increase air velocity.

It looks similar to the AEM V2 tuned intake that never was produced for the KA.http://www.weapon-r.com/store/...arch2#

The aem V2 is two different sized intake tubes welded together, while the weapon R one is a tube within a tube posing as a venturi, both of which I see as a gimmick to try and sell their intakes for even more money.

Besides, weapon r has always appeared to me as a rice brand.

For example, the logo:

I wish i could find the site that had some project 240sx, they found that their short ram Injen or AEM (can't remember what they had) actually made the KA lose 5hp. But when they put the stock air intake back and installed a JWT pop charger they gained it back and then some (over stock).

I don't know about the intake, but the picture looks very cool. Anybody know what plugin for Photoshop does that?

I doubt a single filter can achieve that jet fuel burning affect.

The only advantage that I can see from such a system, is that the majority of the air would remain much colder, and not suffer from heatsoak as much, because it would insulated by 2 pipes, as well as flowing air.

i will speak from experience

i ahd this intake on my accord (4cyl) it made a difference liek you wouldnt believe over stock and it also made a noticable difference over an AEM i had as well......i got it for $185 shipped kinda pricey for the honda but w/e

sounded wicked and if you hook up a strong enough blower or reversable vacum, you can feel the "vortex" at the throttle body end where the inner piping is located

also if anyone wants to buy a RED AEM short-ram for a S13 KADE let me know ill hook you up....(its liek brand new..used for under50miles)

I will ship it to you $5 plus shipping. I don't think it should be more than $10 to ship to Texas. You are ralking about the stock long black plastic intake tube right.
