Thanks, the site is great. Came at a perfect time too, I just started getting into researching ECU tuning, engine management programs and all that.

I hope it helps me, because I really would like to learn. Instead of having you do everything for me, lol.

Sweet!! now if you only had a FAQ about how to hook it all up... lol does TunerPro work with the KA ECUs? I liked that whole engine readout it had where it has mph.. tach... etc.. I actually already have a laptop setup in my car (for wardriving/stealing WiFi lol..) just need to figure out how to interface them corectly....

You can use most of the main functions of TunerPro when modifying ka ecus. The map/data manipulation is the main factor, but TunerPro can also be used with a moates ostrich emulator to tune in real time. This is easily possible with ka24e ecus with a single emulator, not sure if TunerPro has dual emulator support (for dohc).

If you want real time monitoring with your pc, such as gauges, tunerpro wont do that. For that you need a consult adapter, which can monitor/datalog/extract/diagnose data via rs232 with the appropriate software.

And yeah, the forum needs some more beginner info, in time.

Yeah n00b info on adapters/where to buy them/how to hook it up would be great! I want to be able to have as much control over my engine from my laptop as possible.. it would be nice to be able to run fuel efficent most of the time, Then switch over to race mode when I need it... or switch to "valet mode so the ***holes don't do doughnuts in the parking lot ) BTW last time I checked i'm running about 160RWH almost stock... she is going to be a beast when I turbo her...

I definately need "The Idiots Guide to Tuning KA24DE ECUs". I read every post on that site and all I got was more curious and a headache, lol. Is there a site that thoroughly explains tuning ECUs, or is something like it going to come to that forum?

There was a post like the offical ecu tuning guide or something as the title... I found it in the search.. it had info on pocket romulator etc.. I figure I will get a junkyard ECU for like $10... Pocket Romulator.. for the $180 and start messing with stuff you were never actually supposed to mess with... I hope I don't blow the thing up.. YET lmao...
