Finally tearing into my 95 240 today. Got a blown headgasket, but I'm hooking it up to the 5 gas, to see if I can clear it without doing the headgasket. Then I'm gonna slowly build up my engine. At any rate I'll post up pics later, when I get off of work.

Today I'm putting a Vortech supercharger on my friends M3, so I will share pics of that as well.

More to come!

Update Day 1: Complete wash. Day got hectic, we bought a new lift for the new shop location, so that took up a lot of time. Didn't touch my car. Smog will be done tomorrow morning.

No progress with the M, as the kid never arrived , so we'll wait till tomorrow when it should definitely be here.

At any rate, heres some teasers with the M

Here's the shop I work on the bimmer section tho... We don't use too much singage as you can see.

Here's some more of mine

It may not look like much now, but I have big plans for it in the next 3-4 months that I'm home. Stay tuned

theyre rotas. Came with the car. Ditching them when i go 5 lug. I know it needs a paintjob, but exterior is gnna be next to last.

Update: Passed smog, had really good numbers. Now I got a little less than 2 years to f*** around with it, b4 i gotta worry about smog again. Oh well.Ordered tail lights, cause mine aren't sealing and are letting water into my trunk and its rusting! Also set up to buy a shift knob, so hopefully that'll pull through, cause my current one spins around and drives me crazy.

lets see, update on the M, We still have no super charger, so the guys gonna get a nice call. We switched out the M's exhaust with a friends 328i exhaust, which happens to be the billy boat Tri-Flo (NASTY sound, absolutely filthy.) and man did that make a difference. Pics will go up of the new exhaust when supercharger install goes on.

Also, we all went on a little run. 328i is considerably faster, but I have it in the twistys, as with the M, as long as the pavements smooth, but most of the pavement we had was bumpy. Absolutely blew me away on the straights as expected. Oh well, MOPOWA Needed!!! And I need a new steering wheel, mines coming apart... Can anyone hook me up with a nardi?

alright finally an update. Car finally died. I was driving it around and it started stalling on me. I poped the hood, pulled a plug wire and steam was coming out of my spark plug hole. Started the car up again 5 minutes later, and drove it home. Its now sitting at the shop, and soon I will tear into it then order parts.

Right b4 it started to go.

Sorry to hear that... you probably didnt have to buy new taillights if water is leaking in. You probably just needed to replace some butyl rubber.

ya, the tail lights got refunded so never ended up getting them. The tails on there have been re sealed numerous times, and nothing seems to do it. Maybe the car had some previous rear end damage, and now it just doesnt make a decent seal. Oh well, I'll figure it out b4 the next rainy season.

Tiny update: Ordered some parts from enjuku today. Got a spec stage 3 plus clutch, B&M Shifter, HKS SSQV, and a flange. Great guys, real easy to order with. On the other hand I tried to order from phase 2 motor trend today, and they were not having my tax deduction without filling out a dealers form. Its understandable, but a little unnecessary i think, but w.e. Its happening, and hopefully I'll get some hooked prices. I am not too worried, because i feel they will be super legit about it after filling out this form...

Update on the M3: Supercharger came in. We might start tomorrow. Pics will be updated.

I'm going with a JGS T3 mani with a T3/T04E .50 trim .63 AR. 650 or maybe 750 injectors, enthalpy tune, intercooler, cp pistons, BC Rods, maybe BC cams. Thats the main parts anyways. Shooting for about 350 daily or less, and around 400-450 for track. We shall see. about 10-16 psi of boost.

Ok, so this is gonna be a wall of pics... Here is the start of the M3 Supercharger install.

To refresh: Tasty liscence plate frame: Box-o-Parts: Vortech:

Monster M:

Start: Bye Bye Dinan: Save this for later:

Time to take out the Rad:

What the drain plug decided to do to me: It's out:

Bye Bye ECU:

Time for a new crank pulley: bit of nasty tool marks there, but its only cosmetic I suppose...: Well this confirmed we got an OBD-I kit for our OBD II car... Other explanation/pics later on: Brackets on: Had to take the coating off to get the bolt to fit in the bracket

To give you an idea of the sound of the car, this is the billy boat exhaust. It has swiss cheese all in it. nothing solid.

Hopefully this kit will get fully installed. RMS happens to be a very dodgy company, and I am hoping we don't turn this car into another forum horror story, like all the ones on bimmerforums using this kit. Well I have faith that our problem will be sorted out, as we also recieved the wrong plenum to install the super to the throttle body.

Anyways, my parts are coming tomorrow, and we got dealer approved for phase 2, so the order should be happening soon. Cheers

Because the Vortech has INSANE potential, even though it requires some custom fitting.

That's a mighty fine Benwill lift you got there. Good luck sorting out the BMW mess and the KA-t build.

THIS IS NOT MY VEHICLE. I am just the person working on it. He chose the kit, I had no say in it. I would have personally chosen the Active Autowerks as it is only about 600 or so more, and has an oil cooler and a ton of other stuff, as well as what I'm guessing will be 10x better software, and not ripped off like the RMS one will most likely be.

For all our complications, the owner of RMS (Osh is his name) has compensated us with the new parts, as well as a short shifter, and the ECU Via next day air, so this should be done tomorrow.

If you don't like my thread, that happens to have a supercharged m3 ( your f***en retarded) then just leave. s*** even post that you don't like it, I really don't care its just an opinion that I know was made because your jealous you don't have one .

The lift is acutally a bishamon, and it is a f***en champ! Years of service, and the only thing thats broke is the switch a couple times. (Once it stuck cause i accidently hit it with a hammer )

Small update on my part situation. Enjuku gave me a good deal, because I failed to ask the guy to read back my order. I ended up with a lighter order than what I wanted, which explains the 1 lbs shipping weight. So Instead of my short shifter, bov, and flange, i just got the flange. My spec stage 3+ should be here tomorrow, so I will post up some pics of the new parts, as well as the finishing of the M.

Phase2 Finally approved my shop for wholesale, so hopefully they will take my money sooner rather than later. I have never had to work harder to get someone to take my money.... Oh well, I hear they're good, and I can't argue with the prices he's been giving me so far, so we shall see. Cheers!

he ordered it before I got back home from college, and didn't tell me about it. s*** my boss almost told me before he did. It's really not a biggie. We will see how it goes on tomorrow. Either way I doubt my friend will be dissapointed.

UPDATE:

Got the engine out. Not too bad. Took a while cause I was real lazy about it, and extremely hung over in the morning, so I took it easy. Didn't take a ton of pics cause I figured a lot of you would be seeing the same damn thing. I'll take pics once I start tearing into the block and modding s***, but right now is kinda boring. Anyways....

Here's my spec stage 3+ clutch.

There's the engine with everything in still, and the hood taken off.

More stuff and harness out. Its so crusty, I think I'm going to make a new one and tuck it.

Bout to pull it, Got it jacked up to undo the remaining 2 bolts on the transmission cross member.

There it is.

Update on the bimmer:

Got supercharger in. All thats left is the new fan wiring. Gotta figure out if its gonna get a relay and run all the time, or if its gonna get a temp switch. Took it out for a test drive, and it was good until the thing ate a f***en belt. Right at a stop light. I felt like a douche taking the belt out of the engine while in the middle of a busy traffic light. Oh well. I will post pics of that later when I feel like not being lazy.

made a little progress today. Stripped the block almost completely down. Took some pics with my phone since I didn't bring my camerea. I will take a lot more pics on assembly.

Engine on the stand

Looks pretty decent

There it is, and it is currently sitting completely undressed, I just didn't take of it.

Engine really seemed like it had been rebuilt recently, but the headgasket was really poorly done, and very cheap. It was just... terrible. Anyways, the bores look true, and amazing, so hopefully I won't need to overbore. The pistons had 11 and 3, and like 12 and 2 stamped on them, but I dunno what that means. I assume its at stock bore though. I guess we'll see when I send it to the machine shop tomorrow.

Hopefully I will order from phase2 tomorrow or the next day... I just want to order my parts...
