For all you guys that are thinking about T25/T28 KA-T and using an SS Autochrome mani and welding a new flange, the guy at wasabi garage finally came out with an exhaust mani with t25 flange that puts it in the same position as an SR so you can use SR outlet and dp supposedly... heres some pics.

Hate to burst your bubble, but SSA has already started making T25/28 KA24DE turbo manifolds...

yeah--and they are nice too--they arent ssautochrome. I found out that these manifolds are like a stone racing product that ssa prders or something like that. I dont believe SSA actually makes them.

T28 is pretty small... someone on FA was running a T25 KA-T setup and made something like 270rwhp I believe...As for what the inside of the runners look like and what not, I have no idea, talk to the guy at wasabigarage.com im sure he will send you pictures and info. I was just posting it up here incase anyones looking for a T25 mani other then the SS Auto ones..

wait a minute, if it has the same flange as an SR, and that it has the same position...... does that mean we can then use the upgraded turbos for an SR, and if so we can get the really big ones for the sr and it should be about right for a KA?

a t28 i think is a great setup on a ka thats not goin for huge power.

the SS mani puts the turbo in the correct place to use the sr's downpipe, intercooler piping, and turbo exhuast elbow. i would think any of the bigger turbos for a bottom mount setup on an sr would work for a ka. an upgrade kit for an sr might not be the best idea since it would come with oil and coolant lines for the sr that will not work for the ka.

the manfold is the exact same as what ssautochrome sells. stone racing, turbo calculator, ssautochrome--they all sell the same one.If ssatuchrome makes them--id like to see a pic of what theirs is in difference to the ones the turbo calulator, and stone racing sell.In the pics theat kyl has on his group buy page, the manifold is IDENTICAL tot he one that http://www.turbocalculator.com has for sale.If kyles is different, then great--ill be calling him shortly--now if i can only get him to answer emails. hehe.

KYLE__ANSWER YOUR EMAILS!!!!!!AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!i need a manifold that fits like soon--im just trying to use something diferent than the daggum log style. Ill use one if i have to though--just want an equal length one.

On a side note--the t25 ka manifold will alloe the use of a FP tubro--like th BB 3065--you want big power from a bottom mount--get that turbo. That turbo supports 650 whp, and will make every bit of it--not laggy. and a real monster--made for a dsm --but would be ansty turbo when put on a 240. OMG

Funny you should mention the Forced Performance turbos

I have the FP3065 here right now and was kicking around the of dropping it into my s14. It is either that or the big EVO 16G. Does any one have any thoughts on the 14B in a 240? In the DSM circles the t-25 is refered to as the "T to small" , I am amazed that every on is so horny over such a turbo.

i thought i was the only one that called it "T too small".

the t25 turbo is cheap, plentiful, and has almost no lag. that's why people are snatching them up. i've even considered using one, till i look at it's compressor map....then i come back to my senses.

hate to resurect a thread, but, what would be a good upgrade for the sr that would work better on a ka for spool up? ya get my drift? it we can use the sr downpipes and such it would make it better right? still sounds like a sweet deal, but like all things there is probobly a catch....... right?

The catch is that they have a bad reputation of cracking. The "new version" that is out now isn't supposed to have this problem.

AceInHole has put tons of miles on his and wrecked his car without cracking his. Not sure if he has the new or old version. Think it was an old version for SR reflanged for KA, but I'm kind of guessing.

wasabigarage.com manifolds are not made by ss guys.

these are all hand made form start to finish. grinding, fitting, welding, and polishing.

the welds are also better.

that is why it cost more. the price SS sells them for is lower then it cost us to make one.
