I just installed a K & N Typhoon Cold Air Intake into my 2011 2.5 Altima Coupe. Whenever I floor my car it makes a buzzing noise and I cannot figure out what it is. I have double checked to make sure all screws etc. is tight. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

It's not just a intake noise now that you no longer have any intake mufflers or anything? (Presuming it had them originally of course)

I have no other mods to my car so it shouldn't just be the intake noise. It starts at about 20mph and has an annoying buzz noise until I let off the throttle.

Is it more noticeable under WOT or just after 20mph?

after 20...before 20 I just hear the intake which sounds good but then after 20 the buzz noise takes over.

And I don't hear it at all if I am not on WOT

I am guessing it's due to the factory intake piping being removed and having the K&N setup installed. The factory one is all plastic with an intake box and resonators which all helps reduce intake noise. The new kit is a alloy tube and a pod-filter (I think?). The alloy tube will also generate more resonance than what the plastic noise is.

Look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ocAlvufiR4

Is it similar to the noise when he blips it after the kit's installed?

No, it makes that noise that sounds good! However the buzzing noise kicks in too...anyway. One more question, when I rev it it seems to stop at 1000 rpm for a couple seconds, than drop back down to normal. Do you know anything about that?

That is standard across most car's when they're cold I thought.
As for the buzzing, I'm not too sure.

My car was doing that too like right after I installed an intake. I checked it out on a day I wasn't busy and I think what I did was move the big filter thing away from the part closest to the car and tightened the bolts more. The intake shakes when I gun it and hits the wall, that's what was happening to me.

Yeah, I think whats happening is it is hitting the heat shield when I get on the pedal, which in turn vibrates the heat shield which is connected to the bracket to my car.
