new job

so today i started at my new job . i worked from 10-4 at the register with my friend who 'supervised' me. but on wednesday when i go back itll be a full day from 10-10 , and i'll probably be doing food prep too. anyways, i work at L&L's Hawaiian BBQ if anyone knows what it is. its the BEST hawaiian food ive ever had, seriously. its a chain straight out of hawaii itself. my brother over there loves the food also. just felt like sharing because now i'll have money to work on my car. nothing fancy first of course, fixing all the little expensive things, such as...

speed sensor, hud, cracked windshield, and maybe a new bumper... then ultimately a ca18det

12 hour shift in food service?!?!?!

I loved working in food service and am thinking about opening a restraunt. But If I didnt own it, or wasnt getting paid more than I make now, aint no way I would do 12 hour shifts.

12 hour shifts are fun. the most ive worked is a 17 hour shift when i was working for the city in the parks and recreation department. there was some big event... we set up at 6am, nonstop bands/crowds/concert goers kept coming in/out. got done and locked up the whole park by 11pm. after that 17 hour day... im used to standing in the blazind heat.

I've done one 15 hour day at the city (part time job) and like a 14 hour day here at the county I work for. But I have a nice sit down job.

we do 16hour shifts, thursday friday, and saturdays .when college is in, its crazy to work a weeks worth of hours in two and a half days. the pay deff needs to get better this year, or im goin out on my own.

day 2... worked from 10am-930pm. i really really hate the lunch rush. theres like 40-50 orders within 30 minutes ... and phone orders. oh well... its all part of working i guess. gonna earn my money someway

I worked at Wendys for 6 months and hated it because i had long *** hours for being in School at the same time, I dont know, looks like fast food is the only thing i can get, im about to apply at a taco bell that has a big now hirring sign down the street, oh teh things we do for 240s

So, when I walk in there, who should I ask to speak to? Cause if you're not working, and I march in asking to talk to Wangless, I might get a funny look. Unless, of course, that really is your name. What days do you normally work? Food service is an awesome job to have when you're young. I miss L&L. Heck, if there was a Zippy's up here I would probably gain 40 lbs. Marukai does sell their frozen Chili though.

haha... if you say "wheres wangless" the younger guys will know who. but usually, just ask for vincent... and ill pop out from behind the kitchen or something to say whats up. then they should give you the 10% or something. ive worked everyday this week since monday so far except for tuesday. and im getting fat eating the free food during my break... i can feel the mac salad go through my body lol

so anyways, today was day 4 of my job. they stuck my on the "fry station" again... got slammed with orders during the dinner rush... still not too good at it... but i will learn. got a grip of oil burns too. but on the good side my tolerance for heat is getting stronger .

and from el segundo to pasadena daedalus... isnt that like an hour to two away ?...
