I did some projections for the coming month, and I should be able to buy a whole front clip by the end 'o the month! SUPER SWEET!

I am pretty excited, but I need some final advice on what should be had and who to buy from. I live in the northern Washington DC suburbs, so the smallest cost for shipping would be great.

Soon you will be able to welcome me to the rare world of the CA18DET. Thanks for having me!

Finding a complete clip is going to be interesting. If you ever needed a complete motorset, I may be able to help and give a good shipping quote. But shop around, you may just be able to find a clip.

Email http://www.jhotexports.com They are based in Agusta, Ga in the US and have a breaking yard in Japan. I bet you they can get you a clip, and I know I have seen them for sale on their site. If not, they can get you a complete motorset (what I got from them) for pretty cheap (~$1000)

Great, but GA is quite a distance from MD.Dont know if you know that. I have no idea what shipping would be for something of that weight.

I dont car about a full clip, I just want a complete harness and everything to get the motor running in the car with no problems. I just thought a clip would solve all the issues I woud have with getting a motorset.

>>>wangless<<<I now work as kind of a kabana boy/pool boy thing.I clean private pools and repair/replace the equipment to keep them running and close them down before winter. I also flirt with MILFs alot

Lucky guy. I delivered some flowers over Valentine's Day this past year. I was definitely hoping for some MILF's. All I got was middle aged rich women .

Alright guys, get this back on topic (and off the MILFS) or you'll make me lock it. Please don't make me Moderate. I hate that...

Its nice to see antoher ca guy in MD. I preordered my clip from jarco. It should be here in about 4-5 weeks. They are hard to come by these days and the price is going up for them. I paid $2,195 for mine and thats without shipping.

Its going to take a bit longer than i thought if its going to be that high.

I keep seeing prices alot lower than what you guys got... I wonder why.

you should expect to pay $1500-$2000. Too much less and I'd start to question the quality.

i just look at it this way, you get what you pay for. At first i looked for cheap prices, but i spent that little bit more and when the engine came in i wasn't dissapointed. i got my moneys worth.

What about too much more? I was gonna get a clip from Jarco...but thats too much. They're here in town, and the good thing is that I wouldnt have to pay for shipping...but Im assuming I'd have to pay state sales tax.

The downside is that I want to actually SEE the motor and/or hear it running, AND witness the compression/leakdown test. I trust boost boy and dee, but for a piece of mind, I'd like to have a front clip rather than just a motorset. I could get a motorset/clip for waaay cheaper, but it'd be from cali and I'd be going through a "friend" in cali.
