I was looking for a car sold pretty late in 2011 that also was around wholesale pricing. I found this car in Denver and bought it over the phone. I flew into Denver and drove back to Phoenix. . 12 hours 926 miles 38.8 gallons of gas and the opportunity to learn that the car is NOT limited to 155 mph like Jaguar claims. It has an inservice date of July 14th 2011 so plenty of warranty left. The previous owner had a 3m clear bra installed on the A pillars, hood and bumper. He had 20% tint installed all around. The car is extremely clean, the door sills, and some of the interior bits still had the factory plastic film over them. The rear floor mats were not installed. The rear tires, 285/30/20 Dunlop Sport Max, are completely worn out deep into the wear bar in the center.

The next morning I awoke and took my two oldest kids for a couple blasts around the block. Then I took my youngest to daycare. In the daycare parking lot the car had major issues. When I started the dash lit up and it warned me "transmission failure", "e-diff failure" and "Dynamic mode unavailable". I could not take the car out of park. I turned it off and turned it back on and it drove fine the 3 miles home. The check engine light stayed on so I called Jaguar and had my first tow to the dealer. They kept the car 4 days and were not able to find anything wrong with it. As punishment I was forced to drive this XJL loaner car.

The XF Supercharged cars are rated at 470 hp and 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. The XFR cars are rated at 510hp and 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. However XF Supercharged and XFR owners are putting down similar 1/4 mile times and dyno pulls on the Jaguar forums?
Car and Driver tested a XFSC in 2010 and found it to be identical to the XFR 0-60 doing it in 4.3 seconds.

Several companies, Eurotune and EGT sell a pulley and tune for the Supercharged Jaguars. Claiming gains up to 590 hp depending on exhaust systems. I was curious to see if the previous owner had tuned my car so I had it dyno'ed. It put down 435 hp uncorrected 448hp corrected which is what other XF supercharged have been putting down stock.

I can't wait to get it out to the track and see what I can manage in the 1/4 mile!
